  “I cannot recommend this company. From start to finish, it was a really frustrating experience. They made a lot of promises, but never backed them up with anything in writing, and there was absolutely no follow-through. There was no contract, no warranty, and virtually no communication – we had to practically chase them down to get anything done. The work itself was incredibly inconsistent; they were just piecing together the fascia until we called them out, and even then, we had to find someone who spoke Spanish to communicate effectively. The foreman, Jerry, never checked on the progress, either during or after the work was done, leaving his crew to fend for themselves. Promises of a final walkthrough were constantly pushed back, and the office staff were completely unhelpful, often contradicting each other and even not understanding basic terms like a ‘mitigator.’ Weeks after requesting a walkthrough, they contacted us to say they were submitting the final estimate to insurance – which, of course, was completely inaccurate because the job wasn’t actually finished!” report abuse

  “I’ll admit, I was initially wary when a sales person knocked on our door offering a free roof inspection – it’s something we’d all encountered before. My husband was especially skeptical, and I wasn’t sure our insurance would cover it. But I decided to go ahead and let them do the inspection. And I’m so glad we did! They were able to get our claim approved, and Jerry, the owner, really knew how to handle everything. We now have a brand new roof, installed in just 2-3 weeks! Jerry, his crew, and Paulina in the office were all incredibly professional and caring. We honestly didn’t realize our roof needed replacing until after the windstorm a couple of weeks ago when tiles ended up on our solar panel and on the ground. Jerry responded immediately, fixing the problem and adding sealant – completely free of charge. It’s fantastic that we took that initial call three years ago.   “Overall, my experience with Jerry and Skye Builders was extremely disappointing. While he was prompt to initially assess my roof and provide an estimate, his lack of communication was a serious issue. He repeatedly failed to return my calls, and offered no apology for the delays. Beyond that, the billing practices – a transaction fee and then taxes on the drywall work – felt completely unreasonable and indicative of a misunderstanding of how service businesses operate. Frankly, Skye Builders needs to improve their communication and customer service. The core issue wasn't just the delay in getting the drywall work scheduled, but the complete lack of follow-up and the absence of any acknowledgement that I was inconvenienced. It felt like a very impersonal experience.” report abuse
