  “I contacted Shelby Fence to get a quote for a privacy screen for my hot tub, and unfortunately, my experience was really disappointing. I spoke with a receptionist who scheduled a visit, but the installer seemed unsure of the project and ultimately went to his boss for approval. I followed up multiple times via text, but never received a response. It felt incredibly unprofessional and frustrating, especially since I didn’t even get a call to let me know they couldn't fulfill my request. I wouldn't recommend Shelby Fence – it was a complete waste of time.” report abuse

  “I’m usually pretty hands-on with my projects, and I can be a bit picky about the quality of work. But I have to say, I was really impressed with this team. They were punctual, completed the job exactly when they promised, and the finished product looks fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend them – we’ll definitely be calling them again when we tackle the rest of the fence.” report abuse

  “Overall, this was a pretty mixed experience. On the positive side, I got a good price for the fence and they stuck to the six-week timeframe they initially gave me. However, things quickly went downhill after the job was finished. Their communication became incredibly difficult – I had to repeatedly chase them down for updates and solutions when they initially missed serious issues with the installation. They even asked for proof of the problems! It was frustrating not to hear from them when they were out there working, and I really felt like I was having to fight for them to properly address the issues. And to top it off, they accidentally damaged my sprinkler system and didn’t properly secure the gate, leaving nails exposed. While they did eventually fix everything, the lack of communication and the initial mistakes left me feeling really disappointed, especially considering the recommendation I’d received.” report abuse

  “We’re so thrilled with our new fence from Shelby Fence! We had an estimate done back in March and were really pleased when Tim and the team came out in July to start the work. The build happened during the week of October 19th, and the quality of the wood is fantastic – it’s a huge upgrade from our old 50-year-old fence. We even had a couple of extra things taken care of while they were there, and they handled everything with such professionalism and kindness. It was a bit of a wait, but absolutely worth it.   “We’re absolutely thrilled with the work Shelby Fence Company did for us! They really went above and beyond. They even came out yesterday to set the concrete for the posts, allowing it to dry overnight before installing the fence this afternoon – which took just about an hour. The fence itself looks fantastic and exactly as the estimate showed. Shelton and Chad were incredibly professional and helpful, answering all our questions promptly. Shelton especially reassured us that they’d take care of anything we needed, and Chad was fantastic – he even came up with a clever solution to a small gap on the gate, which was really appreciated.   “I’m pleased to update my review – Shelby Fence has now come and properly fixed the issue with my sprinklers, so I’ve raised my rating to three stars. It’s really frustrating that it took a review to prompt them to take responsibility, but I’m ultimately satisfied with the fence itself. Initially, I was incredibly disappointed. I had a fence installed in January and when I tested my sprinklers, I discovered they were directly on top of an above-ground sprinkler head, rendering it useless. Their response was dismissive, claiming it wasn’t their problem and that I should handle it myself. They pointed to a clause in the contract about homeowner responsibility for underground structures, which frankly, didn't apply to a visible sprinkler head. Spending nearly $10,000 on a fence, I expected a discussion about placement and that they would ensure I was comfortable with the installation. It’s a shame a company doesn’t prioritize customer satisfaction more.” report abuse
