It was absolutely lovely exploring the gardens with you! The colors and blooms were just incredible – the peonies were especially stunning, and I loved seeing all the bees buzzing around them. It was great to see so many Star Gazers and Columbines too, and of course, the Chocolate Lilies were magnificent. I especially enjoyed seeing everything in full bloom for the first time in mid-June. I’m already looking forward to returning in a few weeks to see what else is blossoming!

“This place was really lovely – a neat and tidy spot right in the heart of Alaska. I appreciated the student and military discounts (it was only $10 to get in), and it was fascinating to see some of the unique plants thriving in that climate. The one-mile trail was safe and well-maintained, and honestly, the scent of the area made it a really enjoyable hike.”

“It was such a lovely and relaxing day spent in the garden – my husband really surprised me with it! They even have a gift shop with shirts and magnets if you wanted to pick something up.”

“We had such a wonderful time visiting the day after Christmas! The staff were fantastic and really friendly, and the grounds were beautiful even in the winter. Our granddaughters especially loved the amazing Christmas lights and the ice sculptures – it was truly spectacular!”

“We had such a lovely time visiting – it was a really well-designed space, perfect for families. My toddler absolutely loved exploring the different fruit bushes, and my grandfather joined us for a walk. They’ve done a great job with the paved trails and artwork, and it was wonderful to be out there even in the rain. It’s great that it’s fenced in, which gave us peace of mind with the local wildlife! I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who appreciates plants and gardens, especially if you’re interested in seeing Alaskan foliage.”

“The staff could use a bit more warmth and engagement. While the flowers were a lovely touch, the space itself felt a little small and it was clearly a unique, established place – ‘AK.’”

“It’s a lovely spot, especially if you’re interested in seeing local plants – they really come into their own in June when the new growth and flowers are starting to appear. They have a nice greenhouse where you can browse plants for sale, and a small gift shop. There’s a little bit of space for kids with some crafts, but food and drink options are quite limited.”

“I absolutely loved my trip to Anchorage in December! The Christmas lights in the Botanical Gardens were stunning, and the kick sledding was a fantastic experience. I’m already looking forward to returning in the summer to explore the city in a completely different way.”

It was a lovely walk – we went in the spring just as things were starting to bloom, and there was a really good amount to see. The admission price was also very reasonable.

“I absolutely loved spending the summer tending that garden with Helen. It was amazing to see the flowers bursting into bloom, and the little hidden gardens tucked away amongst the trees were just magical. It was such a special experience to be part of it all.”
