Overall, this garden is a really pleasant spot to visit, especially during the spring and summer. It offers some lovely trails – you can easily take a short or long walk. Just be aware of bears and take precautions like wearing long sleeves and bright clothing to avoid bugs. And don’t forget to bring your own picnic and something to keep the bears away!

This is a truly lovely garden, and it’s great to see so many people enjoying it. However, I wanted to gently remind everyone to be mindful of the wildlife – particularly the moose. While it’s tempting to try and get a great photo by chasing them through the parking lot, it’s really important to remember that it’s incredibly inconsiderate to the animals and potentially very dangerous for everyone involved. Let’s admire them from a distance and respect their space.

“I really loved this place – it was absolutely beautiful! They had such a stunning collection of plants and flowers, and it was a lovely, easy walk. I could definitely see it being a great spot for families with kids too. I’m hoping to visit again if I ever find myself back in Alaska.”

“I absolutely loved the gardens – they’re just fantastic! I really appreciate the unique artwork dotted around, and it’s always lovely to see something new each time I go. I’m especially looking forward to visiting in a couple of weeks to catch the peonies in bloom, and definitely don’t miss the herb garden.”

It was such a lovely spot – really peaceful and beautiful with the gardens so well-kept. I especially enjoyed the trail that winds behind the gardens and down to the stream. The paved path within the gardens was perfect for getting around, and I could easily bring a stroller or wheelchair. The trail itself was a bit rougher, but I still really loved the experience of taking a relaxing stroll and just appreciating the scenery.

This winter walk was fantastic! The groomed trails made it really enjoyable, and it was great to see families of all ages out there. The kick sleds and dedicated trail were a really nice touch. Definitely the best winter walk I’ve taken in quite some time. Thanks to the organizers and staff for putting it together!

It was a really lovely spot – perfect if you’re a plant or flower enthusiast. I was really impressed that even in August, everything was still looking so vibrant and full of life.

“We stumbled upon this botanical garden as a little escape during our trip to Alaska, and it was absolutely lovely. It was so peaceful and quiet – a really nice break from the city. The gardens themselves were gorgeous, with beautiful plants and flowers, and the way they’ve created this immersive environment was fantastic. We went on an afternoon, which was perfect for unwinding after our time in Denali and before heading to Seward and the Chugach mountains. Definitely worth the small admission fee; we spent a good amount of time just wandering around and, of course, found a bench to sit and enjoy the flowers with someone we love.”
