  “This place has everything you need for preparing caribou, moose, or fish – and they really know how to make the final product look fantastic. They’ve got a great range of supplies, including a fantastic selection of Victorinox knives, spices, grinders, and food savers. I was particularly impressed with their vacuum bags; they were either the same price or cheaper than other brands I’d seen, and they performed noticeably better.” report abuse

  Butch and his shop were fantastic to work with! We rented a vacuum sealer for our trip to Sterling and Soldotna, and it worked perfectly for the first few bags. However, it started throwing error codes, and after a bit of troubleshooting with Butch—who was incredibly patient and helpful, even calling us as late as 10:45 pm—the problem kept returning. He went the extra mile by contacting a local processor to freeze and seal our fish for us, ensuring we wouldn’t lose our catch. Seriously, he really went above and beyond. I’d definitely recommend this shop – they have great ethical practices and truly outstanding customer service. report abuse
