“The external team really goes above and beyond, consistently handling difficult customers with professionalism and dedication. They’re doing a fantastic job given the staffing levels. Kevin, in particular, is a standout – he’s truly awesome!”
-
“I was really impressed with the customer service here – the team is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. They always seemed happy to help, and it made a real difference. Plus, the shop staff were fantastic too, always going above and beyond to assist with loading and cleaning the steel without any fuss.”

Overall, the office sales team seems fantastic – really proactive and successful. However, there are some significant issues in the shop. Staff there appear quite downcast, and service is incredibly slow. There’s also a noticeable problem with excessive smoke from the plasma tables, which is concerning. It seems like management isn’t effectively addressing these problems.

“I’m really happy with Alaska Steel – they’re my go-to supplier for steel. I don’t buy huge quantities, but when I do, I always choose them. They’ve been incredibly helpful and friendly, and I appreciate that they consistently provide the lengths I need – 20 feet is perfect, and they’re happy to cut it in half and handle the loading for me.”
-
“Honestly, I was really impressed. Despite some previous complaints, the staff is fantastic and they really go out of their way to help smaller clients feel valued. I’ve visited a couple of times just to pick up small quantities, and they generously offered them to me, knowing I’d likely need more for future projects – a really thoughtful approach.”
-
“I was really disappointed with the customer service I received. I submitted an application while they were actively hiring, and I followed up multiple times in person, only to be told the hiring manager would contact me. It’s been three months now, and I’ve still heard nothing – not even an email. It felt incredibly dismissive and unprofessional.”
-
“Overall, I’ve always been really pleased with the service I’ve received – it’s consistently been excellent over the years.”
-
“The customer service experience was really disappointing. It seemed like the staff didn’t have a strong understanding of steel or the fabrication process.”
-
“The customer service here really needs improvement; the staff seemed quite uninterested and unhelpful.”
-
The customer service here could definitely use some improvement.
