  Don and his team really went above and beyond to create exactly what I envisioned for my fat bike. They listened intently to my request for a super sparkly powder coat and were genuinely excited about the project. The finished product was fantastic and perfectly matched my vision. I especially appreciated their personal touch and the open communication throughout the whole process – it was great to see their enthusiasm! I’ve been a regular over the past few months, first to just talk about my project, then to drop off my 5 Pontiac wheels from my ‘70 Trans Am (which were in pretty rough shape!), and finally to pick them up. As someone who’s worked with a lot of shops in Anchorage over the last 45 years, I can honestly say the service at the counter was excellent – 5 stars!   Honestly, I couldn’t recommend Dave and his team at ACPC highly enough. They absolutely nailed the subframe work on my restoration project – they really went the extra mile and took a fantastic approach.   I was really disappointed with my powder-coated wheels. I paid $650 for them, and honestly, they didn’t deliver. They initially ran out of paint, adding an extra $40 to order more, and then the finished wheels looked terrible – it was like they just added more clear coat to mask the issue. They claimed to have “redone” them, but it was obvious they hadn’t. Now, after a couple of weeks, the wheel that wasn't properly addressed is glaringly obvious, and I’ve even noticed bubbles forming on a brand-new rim. It’s clear they didn’t do proper prep work. I ended up with three wheels that look great, but one is noticeably different, and now I’m worried about how long these wheels will actually last – especially with winter coming up. I’m seriously considering getting them redone elsewhere or just buying new rims, as it seems like a much better value for the quality. report abuse

  Don Powell is truly remarkable. He has a gift – he consistently exceeds expectations and leaves everything he works on better than new. I was so impressed with his abilities that he reminded me he can’t fix broken hearts or bring back the sunrise, but honestly, his skills are so impressive that those limitations don’t even seem to matter.
