  It was such a difficult time sorting through my dad’s things after he passed, and I found this little piece of wood he’d cut from a neighbor’s tree. It was pretty rough from being buried in the garage, but I contacted @akgoodwood in Alaska and asked if he could create a custom table for us using it. Theodis really went above and beyond, taking the time to chat with me about my dad and some of our memories to help guide the design. He built the table and even created custom legs – it’s honestly a beautiful piece of art for our home. His kindness and attention to detail are truly remarkable, and I'm absolutely thrilled with what he created. It’s a wonderful reminder to support local artisans! report abuse

  Theodis is an incredibly talented artist – he really listened to my ideas for a sofa table, even the more unusual ones like the floating stand and different wood choices. He embraced the new design and the uncommon mounting system completely. Honestly, what he created was absolutely stunning.   Honestly, we were struggling to find a dining table we really loved in Anchorage until we visited Alaska Good Wood. Theodis, the owner, had just completed a stunning table for a customer down on the Peninsula, and it was breathtaking – truly a work of art. We immediately knew we’d found the place for a custom table. We picked a gorgeous slab of Black Walnut, and Theodis completely transformed it, expertly layering beautiful colorations that just blended perfectly. We’re absolutely thrilled with the final result.
