  MA Design & Construction completely transformed our home – they rebuilt it from the foundation up and added a fantastic expansion that practically doubled our living space. Throughout the entire project, they were fantastic to work with, always kept us informed, and were incredibly professional. They even offered some brilliant design ideas that really elevated the finished product. You could tell they put in a huge amount of care and attention to detail, and the quality of their work was outstanding. Honestly, they exceeded all our expectations, and we’re absolutely thrilled with the beautiful new house they created for us. Marc and his team were fantastic – they really took the time to listen to our ideas and offered some brilliant suggestions that were incredibly helpful.   Honestly, we had a really awful experience with this contractor. We hired them to finish and remodel our basement, and unfortunately, it was a constant stream of mistakes. They even managed to cut a solid wood door by a third without even asking us, and we’ve since found significant cracks in the drywall that appeared just days after the work was supposedly “completed.” But the biggest problem is the flooring. They completely botched it – they spilled glue all over our vinyl, and within a month, the flooring started cracking because the concrete underneath wasn’t properly leveled. To make matters worse, they didn't waterproof the floor correctly, which has caused it to warp. We’re now facing a huge mess and needing to hire someone else to fix it, which will likely cost us several thousand dollars. What’s really frustrating is the contractor’s response. They blamed *us* for using the wrong materials, for not asking them not to cut the door, and for not requesting waterproofing or specialized flooring techniques – as if we were supposed to anticipate all of these issues! It's completely unacceptable that they took responsibility for something so avoidable. We strongly advise against using this contractor, especially for anything beyond a very small, straightforward job. report abuse

Marc and Raquel were fantastic – Marc responded incredibly quickly to assess the large job at my downtown condo, and he was both friendly and incredibly professional. They worked together to create detailed estimates really fast.   “I absolutely loved working with MA Design and Construction Co. My friend recommended them after they did their bathroom and kitchen remodel, and I’d happily hire them again. From start to finish, they were fantastic – they completed the project exactly on time and were incredibly mindful of my budget, never pushing me to add unnecessary costs. They were also really smart about the process, waiting until all the materials were in stock before starting, which made everything run so smoothly. I had a few unexpected plumbing issues, and they handled them quickly and efficiently without impacting the timeline. Marc, Raquel, and the whole team were so responsive and helpful, especially Raquel with her brilliant design suggestions; she really helped me visualize what would work best in my small bathroom.   Overall, the MA Design team did an absolutely fantastic job. They were incredibly helpful with the floor refinishing, window replacements, and radiator work – everything was handled really well and they kept me fully informed throughout the entire process. Raquel and Catherina were particularly amazing; they were so quick to address any issues that came up, and they worked really effectively with the condo association to get the window colors just right, even coming up with creative solutions. They even went above and beyond by patching up some damage on my old floorboards for free! While the pricing was a little higher than I anticipated, the quality of their work was truly outstanding and definitely worth the investment.   Overall, we were incredibly pleased with MA Design & Construction Co. They were so responsive – they always answered our calls and emails promptly, and they really went above and beyond to create a fantastic and well-considered design for our basement renovation. Not only did they complete the work on schedule, but they also left the site spotless when they were finished.
