  “I’m really disappointed with my experience with Holland. I bought my first home through them, expecting the high-quality service they advertised, but just two weeks after my one-year anniversary, we had a major issue – water started leaking badly from the bathroom walls every time I used the shower, causing significant damage. I contacted their after-sales support, but they weren’t helpful and essentially told me it wasn’t their responsibility, despite the issue clearly being a plumbing problem. Honestly, I was shocked by their lack of concern, especially since it happened so soon after my warranty expired. I had high hopes for buying a second house from them, but this experience has completely changed my mind – I definitely won’t be going back.” report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying a home from Holland Homes. As a first-time homebuyer and young professional recently settled in the Auburn/Opelika area, I expected a smoother process, but I’ve been dealing with a lot of issues with my new house that have popped up surprisingly quickly – even after the one-year warranty. Specifically, we’ve had a window leaking after a rainstorm, likely due to improper installation, and parts of the exterior have started falling off after a recent storm, which I believe is related to how it was put together. I contacted Holland Homes to get these problems resolved, but they essentially passed the buck, telling me it was outside the warranty and directing me to the contractors they use. I tried repeatedly to speak with a project manager in my area, but I was consistently bounced around to the Holland Homes receptionist, who wouldn’t connect me with anyone higher up. Ultimately, the contractor they recommended just hung up on me. It's incredibly frustrating to invest in a home and then be let down by Holland Homes, especially considering they’re the ones who seem to be endorsing these contractors who are clearly not doing a quality job. report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with Holland Homes and the situation at Fox Run Villages. When we bought our home there in August, we were explicitly told that no further expansion would be happening after the final phases. Now, they’re planning to build a new neighborhood right next to us, and it feels like they completely disregarded our community’s concerns. They didn't consult with homeowners before making this decision, and frankly, it feels like a huge betrayal. Adding this new neighborhood will only worsen existing problems – our already crowded pool will get even more crowded, and we’ll be stuck paying HOA fees for a pool we can’t really use. Plus, with more units and no additional parking, it’s going to be even more cramped. To add insult to injury, they’re pushing a pickleball court as a solution, despite no one asking for it, and it would be completely inaccessible without a parking lot. And on top of all of this, our roads are falling apart with massive potholes and drainage issues, and they’re not obligated to fix them until *after* they’ve finished building the new neighborhood – meaning we’re stuck with these problems for years to come. It’s clear that Holland Homes doesn't value honesty or community input, and I wouldn't recommend buying a home from them. report abuse

  Honestly, working with Holland Homes was a fantastic experience. They really took care of us from the very beginning, and made what can be a stressful process so enjoyable. Their professionalism, how punctual they were, and just how organized everything was, was incredible. They truly went the extra mile, whether it was helping us with the initial purchase, guiding us through the design meetings, or overseeing the actual construction. You could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we were happy and well-looked after every step of the way.   “I absolutely loved my experience with Holland Homes! I was moving from Florida and had been searching for a home for a year, and Holland’s designs consistently caught my eye. I especially appreciated their floor plans and overall aesthetic. I worked with Adrien Helms during the process, and she was truly fantastic. She made everything so smooth and easy, and her support, knowledge, and professionalism were exceptional – honestly, she went above and beyond. In fact, I’d already put a deposit down on another home, but I canceled that deal because of the incredible customer service Adrien provided.
