“Overall, our experience with Designhaus was incredibly disappointing. We invested our time and trust in their plans and guidance, but unfortunately, the communication we received was consistently below the standard we expected. Ultimately, we were left with no option but to seek assistance elsewhere. While Joe acknowledged their shortcomings, there was no attempt to address the issues or offer any kind of resolution. It seems Designhaus’s expertise is primarily geared towards larger, higher-budget projects, rather than smaller, more detail-oriented ones like ours.”

“I can’t recommend Designhaus. From the very beginning, the owner made promises about delivering on time and within budget, but it quickly became clear that wasn’t the reality. Once we were under contract for our lake house, they completely disappeared when issues arose – no callbacks, no responses to emails, and it took the owner constantly stepping in to address anything. What was most concerning was the consistent misrepresentation of the budget. Despite repeatedly discussing our financial constraints, they never informed us that the project was significantly over budget. When the bids came back at $280,000 to $300,000 over our original amount, they simply ignored us. Ultimately, they took $18,000 for design and septic tank plans over 1.5 years, and then billed us for building permits two weeks ago – permits that couldn’t be obtained without the septic approval. It was a complete waste of time and money, and honestly, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I’d strongly advise against using this firm; they don’t deliver what they promise and it cost me a significant amount of money.”
