  We were really pleased with the new windows we had installed last March – the whole process, from start to finish, was fantastic, especially with the quick one-day installation.   I’m incredibly frustrated with Rescom. About six years ago, they installed a very expensive door with a lifetime guarantee, and since then, I’ve had to deal with constant issues. Every winter, they’ve had to come out to adjust it – often in freezing temperatures – and I’ve had to leave my door open for over an hour while they work. Now, it’s completely stopped working; I can’t open it at all and cold air is pouring in. I’ve called them three times in the last two weeks, and I’m still waiting for a callback. Honestly, it’s been a huge hassle. I want a completely new installation, and frankly, I wouldn’t recommend Rescom. There are much better options out there—I’d suggest checking with Home Depot; you’ll get far better value for your money. report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with this window installation. We were heavily marketed on the windows’ ability to stay warm and resist fogging, but the reality was the opposite – they’re freezing cold inside and constantly fog up, especially during the winter. Worse yet, the installation process caused significant damage to our living room end table and outdoor garden items, and no one offered an apology. We felt obligated to proceed with the video installation, which simply confirmed they were “installed” without any further explanation or concern for the damage. It’s clear this was a misleading sales tactic, and the windows are simply not as advertised. We strongly advise against falling for this spiel – it’s a very expensive and ultimately unsatisfactory investment. report abuse

  Overall, we were really pleased with the work this company did for us. They offer fantastic doors at a price that’s much better than what we’d have paid at Home Depot. You definitely get a higher quality product, though they are a little more expensive upfront. We had them replace our back door, basement door, and porch slider, and we’re incredibly happy with the finished results. report abuse

  “I was really excited about the new Bristol windows and the promise of a 45% reduction in my electric bill, but unfortunately, it didn’t make any difference at all. The windows themselves looked good, but I didn’t see any savings. I also had some sticking issues that were supposedly resolved with furniture spray, which worked for a little while, but then the tracks got so dirty from just everyday use that they were unusable. To top it off, I was charged $75 to have someone come out and look at the windows – a charge that seemed completely unreasonable considering they’re supposed to have a lifetime warranty. Overall, it felt like a really disappointing and expensive experience.” report abuse

  “I’m really concerned about my experience with Rescom Windows. A salesperson quoted us around $30,000 for a full window replacement – which seemed reasonable at the time. They offered a discounted price after a year and another $4,000 off if we signed on immediately. Frankly, it felt a little high-pressure, but I wasn’t prepared for the way things unfolded. I just spoke with them today because they dismissed my request for a business card, responding with the frankly unbelievable comment that ‘you’re not going to call and spend $4,000 more if you can’t decide right now.’ It’s incredibly unsettling that they’d pressure someone into a contract without allowing them to do any research on the company.   I was incredibly disappointed with my experience. The initial “free estimate” appointment was a complete no-show – they’d somehow gone to the wrong state! Then, after rescheduling, I received a call ten minutes after our appointment time saying they’d be there in twenty minutes. When the salesman, John, finally arrived, I was upfront that I’d recently worked with Power Home Remodeling and just needed a straightforward estimate, not a lengthy sales pitch. Despite repeatedly explaining my needs, John continued to push high-end windows and even made a completely unfounded claim about an increase in our home’s value. As a Realtor myself, I found his response incredibly dismissive and disrespectful. He kept telling me to do more research, which felt like he wasn’t actually listening to my concerns. Ultimately, he left after offering a paltry $75 for his time – I wouldn’t recommend this company based on the lack of respect and the completely ignored request for a simple estimate. report abuse
