I cannot recommend Lancaster Construction. Our experience was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, unacceptable. We purchased a home from them in January 2022 and we’re still dealing with unfinished work that was promised at closing. Despite numerous emails, Art Lancaster has been completely unresponsive and has repeatedly failed to follow through on his commitments. We’ve even sent demand letters, but they’ve gone unanswered. As a result, we’ve had to cover the costs ourselves. It’s clear this is a recurring problem for many homeowners in our neighborhood, and I strongly advise against using this company.

“I’m incredibly disappointed and urge anyone considering buying a home from this builder to seriously reconsider. They were shockingly unprofessional and completely unresponsive throughout the entire process. We were threatened with the possibility of having our unfinished house listed for sale unless we agreed to a deal that didn’t even address the issues. The addendum we signed at closing regarding the incomplete work was completely ignored, and now, a year later, they’ve stopped responding to all attempts to contact them. We were expecting a one-year walkthrough, but no one will answer. Honestly, this was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend buying a home from this builder under any circumstances.”
-
“We’ve been extremely concerned by the outstanding invoices, many of which are over a year overdue. Despite repeated attempts to contact them, the leadership seems to be directing the receptionist to handle all inquiries, and we haven’t received any response whatsoever. It’s frustrating that our calls aren’t being acknowledged.”

“I’ve been living in a townhouse built by this company, and unfortunately, I’ve run into a lot of issues over the past couple of years. There’s been some really shoddy workmanship – for example, the way they installed the microwave resulted in constant mold growth on the cabinet above, directly because of the steam. But the biggest problem is that they never addressed anything we pointed out during the closing. We documented a lot of issues and reported them within the first 30 days, but nothing was ever fixed. Honestly, the quality of construction seems comparable to other budget builders out there, so it’s just… underwhelming.”
-
Honestly, my experience with them has been really frustrating. Getting invoices paid and getting clear answers about payment delays seems almost impossible. If you operate on a NET 30 payment schedule, I’d strongly advise against working with them.

“Unfortunately, my experience with this company was incredibly frustrating. Despite multiple attempts – including emails, letters from my attorney, and numerous phone calls over the past seven months – they haven't paid a single invoice. Their lack of communication and responsiveness was completely unprofessional, and I would strongly advise against working with them or hiring them for any services.”

“I was incredibly impressed with this company – the owner was fantastic! They went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, and they really demonstrated a strong sense of integrity and professionalism. I wholeheartedly recommend them!”
