  Arens did an absolutely fantastic job laying down asphalt on my driveway this summer. I’m a pretty particular person when it comes to work on my property, so I was really impressed with the quality of their work. They were incredibly efficient and took the time to clean up thoroughly after themselves. The only very minor thing was a small area where the asphalt didn’t quite extend to the road edge – it was something I noticed and, being a perfectionist, it bothered me a little. But the owner was so responsive and understanding. They came out the following day without any extra charge to fix it completely, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.   “I was really disappointed with the driveway. There were some significant dips that collected water for a long time, and the edges were just messy and not properly leveled. They did try to make a small fix, but then they completely disappeared after that. While he seemed like a pleasant guy, the quality of the work was just terrible.” report abuse

  I was incredibly disappointed with this company’s work. They initially assured me they had the availability to take on the project, and I agreed to their timeline. However, the job was clearly rushed, and we ended up needing to have them return four times to correct issues with the driveway – including patches and divots that weren’t properly fixed. The final result is a seriously uneven driveway with significant water pooling, even sloping toward my house and porch. I now routinely step into a puddle over four inches deep when I leave my porch, and the last time they inspected the area, they simply told me there was nothing more they could do. It’s been a complete waste of money, and I’m now left with no choice but to hire someone else to fix their mistakes. Honestly, the only reason I’m giving one star is because I’m required to leave a review. report abuse

  Overall, Ahrends did a fantastic job – they were really friendly and provided excellent service at a great price. If you’re considering getting your driveway done, I’d definitely recommend giving them a call; you won’t be let down. report abuse
