The master electrician who inspected it told us the system was drastically undersized for their needs. Worse, they didn’t follow the approved plans they submitted to the permit office – they missed key components. Now they’re trying to bill us for service to fix a problem they created because the system was never properly installed to begin with. They’ve stopped responding to our calls, and it feels like they’re just trying to extract money after failing to deliver on their promises.   Overall, our experience with MTV was fantastic. We narrowed down a few solar installers and ultimately chose two to investigate. However, the MTV solar consultant stood out significantly. They took the time to truly understand our needs, carefully inspected the property, and then developed a really well-thought-out plan for our solar panels and battery system. While it might have been slightly more expensive, we felt the level of professionalism and attention to detail was absolutely worth it. The installation was incredibly efficient and the electricians were amazing – especially the detailed book they left us explaining everything in plain language. Thankfully, we found a team that truly listened to our needs and responded quickly. The technicians were not only friendly and knowledgeable, but they really understood our solar system.   Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Mountain View Solar. They did a really impressive job installing our solar panels on our historic home in Charles Town – it’s a beautiful 200+ year old property. What was particularly noteworthy was how they navigated the complexities of getting the necessary approvals and permits, which was a significant challenge given the home’s location in the historic district. They also took great care to ensure the installation blended seamlessly with the home’s aesthetic, and Danny Chiotos was fantastic – he really led the project and kept everything running smoothly. report abuse

  Overall, I had a really good experience with MTV. From start to finish, they handled everything incredibly well. The initial consultation was helpful and they didn't pressure me at all, and the price they quoted was exactly what I was expecting. They took care of absolutely everything – the design, getting the permits, the installation itself, the inspections, and even followed up after it was all done.   Overall, we were incredibly pleased with Mountain View Solar. From the initial consultation right through to the final installation, the team was so helpful and knowledgeable. And I also want to extend a special thanks to the crew member who came back to finish up the driveway; he not only did a fantastic job, but he even went above and beyond by using the leftover dirt to smooth out our trail to the creek – it was a really thoughtful touch!
