  Overall, we were really pleased with the work Blue Collar Scholars did replacing our driveway and fence. There were a couple of initial scheduling hiccups, but once they got started, they did an absolutely fantastic job – both the driveway and the fence look amazing and really enhanced our backyard. They were so attentive to our ideas and specific requests, and the crews were consistently professional and kept us fully informed about their progress every day. We’d absolutely recommend them and would definitely use them again for any future landscaping or hardscaping projects. report abuse

  Overall, we were really pleased with the work Blue Collar did on our flagstone walk. They went above and beyond by actually addressing the underlying concrete issue, which was something the other companies overlooked and would have just patched over. They were also very reasonable and adaptable, and we appreciated their communication, even when they were short-staffed due to COVID. We were a little surprised they didn't have a project manager on-site initially, but that seemed to be a temporary issue. And thankfully, they took care of the sod replacement when the August heat damaged it – they replaced it in September without any fuss. We’d absolutely recommend Blue Collar and definitely plan to use them again for any future landscaping needs. report abuse

  Overall, Blue Collar Scholars did an absolutely fantastic job transforming our yard! We’re so thrilled with the results – the new rock-lined swale and improved grading have completely solved our drainage problems, and the new patio looks fantastic. What really stood out was their meticulous attention to detail with the brickwork, and they kept the whole area incredibly tidy throughout the project.   Overall, I was incredibly pleased with the entire project. My architect recommended this company in Bethesda, and they handled everything from the backyard remodel to the addition bump-out seamlessly. The interior team was fantastic – they kept everything running on schedule, and we even ended up adding a beautiful deck and stamped concrete patio off the new addition. Honestly, I hadn’t initially planned on undertaking such a large project, but with mortgage rates so high, it made more sense to expand my house instead of buying a new one. I’m really happy with the quality of the workmanship and how well the team communicated throughout the whole process. report abuse

  “I can’t thank BCS enough – they truly rescued us after a really awful experience with another drainage company. Our basement flooded, and we were completely lost, with the other company refusing to take responsibility for the damage they caused. A neighbor suggested BCS, and they were fantastic! They quickly identified the problem and got it fixed. Now, my basement is completely dry, and I even have a beautiful new patio and deck – all thanks to BCS and their incredible team.   “Overall, we were incredibly pleased with Blue Collar Scholars. They tackled the huge job of clearing out the overgrown trees and bushes we’d inherited, and the difference is amazing! They took the time to really assess the situation and gave us a detailed, reasonable estimate, explaining everything clearly on-site. The work itself was fantastic – they completely transformed our yard, opening it up with more space, light, and airflow. But what really stood out was their dedication. When they realized the city wasn't going to take responsibility for branches on the power lines, they didn’t just shrug it off.   Blue Collar Scholars were fantastic to work with! From the start, they really listened to our vision for the backyard, and they expertly handled everything from removing the old deck and planting bed to installing the drainage and gravel seating area. They completed the project on time and were incredibly easy to communicate with. Plus, the pricing was really reasonable. We even appreciated their generosity – months before, they did a free survey of our yard and, even though the job was smaller than their usual minimum, they took the time to walk around and give us a detailed plan of what needed to be done.
