Honestly, I had a really concerning experience with this company. I usually try to look for the good in things, but due to some serious safety issues that I’ve seen highlighted in other reviews, I wouldn’t consider working with them on any project – under any circumstances.

I was deeply shaken by an incident involving a Northeast Electric employee, Robert Upton, on January 30th in Dupont Circle. Mr. Upton was driving a company vehicle when he struck me while I was using a pedestrian walkway. What was immediately concerning was his incredibly aggressive reaction afterward, including a completely unacceptable and frightening statement – he told me to “go kill myself.” This behavior is completely unacceptable and raises serious questions about Mr. Upton’s judgment and suitability to represent Northeast Electric. The whole situation was incredibly distressing, and I’m seriously considering my legal options. I’ve attached photos from a video recording that clearly shows the speed and recklessness of the moment. I really hope Northeast Electric takes this very seriously and investigates what happened, including reviewing Mr. Upton’s employment. It’s vital that the company prioritizes public safety and demonstrates a commitment to professional conduct.

“It’s really concerning that employees are being allowed to drive unsafely, particularly in the company van – that’s a completely unacceptable risk.”
-
“I was really pleased with the work the electricians did – they were quick to respond and very helpful. I recently had two light switches swapped out, and Patrick was fantastic; he noticed the switch order was incorrect and quickly corrected it for me, putting the hall light first and the closet light second. The price was good, though the payment process could be a little faster – it took a while for them to credit my checking account after the job was finished. They really need to update their website so customers can easily document the work and save time for everyone.”
-
“On July 7th at around 3pm on Cromwell Bridge Road, one of your pick-up trucks was observed driving in a concerning manner – it appeared to be driven aggressively and recklessly. This wasn’t appropriate behavior for a company vehicle.”
-
This review expresses serious concerns about the company’s customer service. The reviewer felt frustrated by the lack of an option to give a truly negative rating and was particularly critical of the company’s demanding and inflexible approach. They felt the service was dismissive of customer feedback and noted instances of abruptness, including potential hang-ups if the tone wasn't agreeable. The reviewer also questioned the company’s verification with the Better Business Bureau.
-
Northeast Electric’s service was, frankly, unacceptable. They disregarded building regulations, botched the initial work, and, most concerningly, failed to address the issues after completion. It’s truly disappointing to see such a consistent level of poor service – they’ve unfortunately established themselves as a prime example of subpar service.
-
“I was really disappointed with my recent call. The person I spoke with was quite rude and unhelpful when I was just asking a general question.”
-
I wholeheartedly recommend this – it’s fantastic work!
-
The electricians were really responsive and clearly knew their stuff.
