  Overall, I was really pleased with the plumbing work Nichols Pumbing did – it was excellent. However, I was quite surprised by the final bill, which came to $840 after an initial estimate of $350-$450. They didn’t provide a detailed breakdown, and the charge felt a bit excessive. I was given a verbal quote and wasn’t given any advanced warning about the increased cost; it was only revealed after a voicemail was left the same day, and my card was charged.   “We were really pleased with the service we received. The technician arrived within about 30 minutes and was incredibly thorough and professional. However, the problem turned out to be more complicated than initially anticipated. We ended up needing an excavation crew, but thankfully Nichols responded quickly – a technician, Chris, arrived to assist them, and he was instrumental in pinpointing the exact location of the break.
