  Erik Burden and Powder River Heating and AC were fantastic! I contacted several HVAC contractors in Sheridan County, and Erik was the only one who showed up exactly when he said he would. He was incredibly knowledgeable, really took the time to explain everything involved with replacing and adding duckwork to my home in Story, and he was just a pleasure to work with – professional and personable. He kept me updated throughout the whole process via email, and I was really impressed with the quality of his work. I checked out the finished job, and it was top-notch.   Powder River Heating was a really frustrating experience. My furnace died, and when I called them, the technician spent hours trying to diagnose the issue, ultimately relying on information from a former employee. They ended up needing a new part, which they ordered, and then brought a temporary fix that just seemed like a quick, makeshift solution. It was incredibly frustrating to pay $150 an hour to spend hours on a problem they already knew about – a known issue with a readily available part, costing them $1000 to fix a twenty-year-old furnace. I pushed back on the price, and thankfully it came down, but the problem immediately returned this year. To add insult to injury, when I called them again, my account had apparently been deleted. I then turned to Great Divide Fabrication, and thankfully, the technician arrived quickly and identified the actual problem for just $100. Hearing about my previous experience with Powder River Heating, he gave me a dismissive look, clearly indicating that countless others had had similar, subpar “service.” report abuse
