  We couldn’t be more thrilled with the work Richard Hammond Builders did for us! We’d previously been so impressed with their deck construction last summer, we immediately asked them to tackle a room renovation. They completely transformed a previously unused space in our house – knocking down a wall and turning it into a beautiful, inviting living area that seamlessly extends our kitchen. Richard and Joe’s team were fantastic. We did run into a few unexpected challenges – like moving the HVAC and fixing some plumbing – but they consistently came up with clever and affordable solutions. They even worked with a custom-made exotic wood mantel we’d purchased, and expertly restored our wood floors. We really appreciated their ability to take our vision and execute it perfectly, all while staying on schedule and under budget.   “I’ve been working with Richard Hammond Builders for over fifteen years now, and I couldn’t be happier with their work. They completely renovated our house – five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two kitchens, two family rooms, and a living room – and the quality of their craftsmanship and service is truly outstanding. We’ve continued to use them for subsequent projects too, including building our portico, renovating our garage, and replacing all the siding. Everyone I’ve recommended them to – family and friends – has given them the highest possible praise, and they’ve always been incredibly responsive and quick to resolve any issues we’ve had.   Richard Hammond Builders did a job for us that unfortunately didn’t live up to our expectations, or their promises. As part of the agreement, they were supposed to make our roof completely waterproof, and they recommended adding Grace ice and water shield – which we agreed to – to ensure against leaks. Despite this, we’ve continued to have significant water leaks every time it rains. They tried to fix the problem, but it was clear they didn't understand the issue and weren’t able to resolve it. Most concerningly, when we asked them to return and fix the problem, they refused. Ultimately, they failed to complete the work as agreed and didn’t offer a refund. report abuse
