  “I can’t recommend hiring this flooring company. We hired them through our builder to install floors in our new home, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly frustrating. Once we moved in, we immediately noticed that the filler wasn’t properly applied and was starting to come out in several spots. While Shane, the company representative, was initially helpful and agreed to make the repairs, his team’s attempts to redo the work actually made things worse, creating a huge mess with polyurethane on our baseboards and staining our walls and doors. We ended up having to completely move our furniture into the basement for a weekend while they worked. Despite the problems, they refused to take responsibility, and Shane essentially told our builder that he wouldn’t cover the cost of a painter to fix their mistakes. Now, just as we expected, the filler is coming out again, clearly demonstrating a fundamental issue with the initial installation.” report abuse

  “It’s really disappointing to see what happened here. This business used to be fantastic, and we were so sad to see the decline. The stair refinishing job done in 2022 was shockingly poor – the fir was badly marred, with uneven sanding, exposed nail heads, and, worst of all, polyurethane applied directly over sanding dust. We spoke to a few other local contractors, and they were genuinely surprised by the level of substandard work. It’s a shame to see a local business let down like this, and certainly affected the experience for our customers.” report abuse

  “We absolutely loved working with them! We were renovating a rehabbed home and were thrilled they were able to match the beautiful hardwood floors throughout the house. They took the time to meticulously buff and refinish the existing floors, really making them look fantastic and ensuring a perfect match. Knowing we had a lot of work ahead of us, they were incredibly considerate and waited until we were finished to complete the final buff and coat.   “We hired Unique Wood to sand and refinish the cherrywood floors in our new home just outside of Cheyenne, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. The seller had already invested over $5000 to address scratches from previous dogs, and Unique Wood completed the initial work. However, the finished product was riddled with flaws, particularly noticeable on the steps leading into the living room, with exposed raw wood and gouges clearly visible. We immediately contacted the seller’s realtor, who then followed up with Unique Wood multiple times, but they repeatedly ignored our concerns and failed to complete the job properly. It became clear they were only interested in getting paid and had no intention of addressing the significant mistakes they made. Because of their complete lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to fix their work, we strongly advise against using Unique Wood for any future wood flooring projects – it's simply not worth the risk.” report abuse

But what really stood out was their service; they not only did a brilliant job with the floors themselves, but they even noticed a water drip and fixed it immediately, completely without us having to ask.
