“Overall, the operation was quite disappointing. There were frequent, unannounced closures, which was incredibly disruptive. Furthermore, the security around the pool area was seriously lacking – the office doors were routinely unlocked, making it seem like nobody was properly overseeing things.”
-
“Overall, there were some significant issues with this shift. Communication seemed lacking – we didn’t receive any updates on closures, and it felt like staff weren't fully engaged. To make matters worse, we arrived to find the pool completely unattended, with the offices unlocked and abandoned, which was really concerning.”
-
Overall, this is a really great place to swim – they seem to have a good group of local teens working there, and the staff are always friendly and reliable with their hours. The lap pool is fantastic, and I’ve consistently found lanes available when I’ve been. I’d definitely recommend getting the punch card for $45 for ten visits; it’s a good deal!

The Chugiak High School pool was a pleasant surprise! The water temperature was really nice and comfortable. They have a deep end that goes down to 13 feet, though it’s not an Olympic-sized pool. Overall, it was a well-maintained space, and the locker rooms were clean. Entry cost $5 for free swim sessions.

“I just wanted to say what a fantastic time I had at the football field! It’s a really beautiful field, and I had a great experience. If you have kids or grandkids who play there, you absolutely have to check it out – it’s definitely worth a visit.”
-
Honestly, I was so excited to find a nice, reasonably priced pool nearby – the Chugiak pool seemed perfect. However, I was really disappointed to discover that, because I have a disability (I have no legs), I wasn’t allowed to actually swim and exercise there.
-
Overall, this is a really solid public pool option. It’s a good size and reasonably priced, which is fantastic. Just be aware that it gets pretty busy during the regular open swim times. If you’re looking for a place to swim laps, they do offer dedicated lap swimming sessions too.
-
It was a really enjoyable day of skiing on the trails.
-
It was a bit wetter than I’d hoped for, but the kids absolutely loved it!
-
Okay, here’s a natural-sounding evaluation based on that text: “It’s… certainly a unique experience. Apparently, some people enjoy swimming without a swimsuit, and there’s a noticeable element of kids using it as a place to play – including, as one comment pointed out, going for a swim.”
