“I’m concerned about the brightness of the overhead lights on the Glenn Highway – they’re particularly problematic during the darker months, especially with the increased moose activity and icy conditions. The light is quite blinding, and I’ve experienced temporary blindness as a commuter navigating this area. It’s a serious safety issue, particularly for drivers in the northbound lanes. A simple adjustment, perhaps just shifting them slightly north, or even a temporary shield, would make a huge difference and greatly improve visibility.”

“It’s really good to see the highway work progressing, even if it’s taking a little while. The scenery is absolutely stunning – I always enjoy driving through here. My biggest worry is that the construction will wrap up before winter arrives, as icy conditions and reduced lanes during building would be a really dangerous combination. Seriously, it’s a tough job out there, so please be careful! And a reminder to everyone – watch out for moose; they’re a common hazard on the roads.”

This role seems to offer a really limited opportunity for growth and development. The compensation isn’t competitive, and unfortunately, there's a sense that people are brought in primarily to be used for a specific task, with little long-term investment in their careers.
