  “We hired Wes Hanson’s company to build a cabin on a lot our family has owned for years – it was a really long-held dream. We met with Matt initially to discuss our budget, which was quite modest, and he showed us a preliminary floor plan. However, we essentially lost track of them for about seven months with no updates. We eventually went around Matt and spoke directly with Emilee, the designer, but even then, it felt like our budget concerns weren’t being taken seriously. It took another nine months to finally get a floor plan we were happy with. Then, suddenly, they did an internal cost estimate that was four to five times our original budget! It became clear they weren't able to build a cabin within our financial constraints, and frankly, it felt like they were just trying to get rid of us. The entire process was incredibly frustrating and disrespectful, wasting a whole construction season and making us feel completely undervalued. I would strongly advise against working with Wes Hanson.” report abuse
