I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying this truck from Mr. Cross. I paid $14,000 cash, and from the start, there were serious red flags. He wouldn't let me test drive it on the road, claiming it was due to a lack of insurance, but assured me everything was fine with the vehicle itself. Shortly after driving it home, it started smoking badly at just 55 mph. When I tried to return the truck within the three-day rule, he insisted I owned it. Then, after spending another $5,000 to replace the turbo and fix the exhaust, the problems continued. On its first proper drive, it overheated, and a mechanic determined the issue was bad o-rings causing antifreeze to leak. Now, I’m facing another $15,000 in repairs. Honestly, I feel completely misled and like I was deliberately prevented from properly assessing the truck before purchase. It’s a really foolish mistake I made, and I strongly advise anyone considering buying from Mr. Cross to think very carefully – don’t let yourself be put in the same situation.

“I wanted to give a quick note about the road – there’s a sign that says ‘No Trucks’ and it’s important to respect that. It’s a bit of a residential street, so please slow down; there are kids around.”

They were really honest and fair, and it was just a pleasure doing business with them.
