  Jeff from Great Lakes Door was fantastic! He quickly replaced my garage door opener with a new side-mount unit, and he really went the extra mile. Because my garage has a large beam, he didn’t just install a standard opener – he researched and offered a couple of solutions, explaining each one in detail. He stayed within my budget and even took care of getting rid of the old opener. He was super thorough, explaining all the new opener’s features and making sure we completely understood how it worked. report abuse

  Honestly, I was really pleased with this company last year, so I reached out again to get a quote for new garage doors. They took two weeks to come out and give me an estimate, and required a 50% deposit upfront, which was fine. They assured me the delivery was on track, but when the installation day arrived, it was a complete disaster. My wife’s side of the garage wasn’t even finished, and my side was wired up with an extension cord! I brought it to the owner’s attention, and she just brushed it off saying everything was “great.” To add to the frustration, she admitted they’d accidentally sold one of the systems, and wouldn't have it for days. It felt like they weren’t taking my concerns seriously at all. On top of that, the installer left a trail of nails in my garage, and when I pointed one out, he just apologized while it was still under his ladder. For over $2300, I ended up having to rewire the outlets myself – it was incredibly frustrating and felt like a really poorly handled job. report abuse

  “I was really frustrated with the initial response. I had to call three times to remind them about my quote, and despite that, they hadn’t scheduled an installation. It felt incredibly difficult to get them to act, and I ultimately had to take my business elsewhere – I ended up using Doorco who were much more responsive and handled the entire process quickly.” report abuse
