We were incredibly pleased with Mayberry Homes – they truly exceeded our expectations and we’re thrilled with the finished home. The entire process was incredibly smooth and well-organized, and we especially appreciated the fantastic team we worked with. We wholeheartedly recommend Mayberry Homes to anyone looking to buy a new home!

I had a truly awful experience with Mayberry Homes. I reported a small crack and leak in my new custom-built home – a $500,000 property – through their warranty process, and it was a complete disaster. After finally getting a response from David Mittleman, he offered absolutely no helpful assistance, essentially dismissing my concerns and making me feel like I was inconveniencing him. He was incredibly condescending and just rambling on and on without actually addressing the problem. After days of no follow-up, I took matters into my own hands and repaired the crack myself, which just confirmed my suspicions: Mayberry Homes is clearly more interested in profits than quality workmanship. I strongly advise anyone considering a Mayberry Home – new or used – to avoid them completely.

Kristi Smariege has been absolutely invaluable since I moved in back in January. I’ve encountered a few issues with the property, and every single time, she’s been incredibly responsive. Within an hour or two, she’s already taken care of things, contacted the right people, or pointed me in the right direction. She’s just so quick, efficient, professional, and genuinely kind – it’s really made a difference. Despite some ongoing challenges with the house and the contractors, Kristi has consistently gone above and beyond to resolve things quickly. I can’t recommend her highly enough! I really hope Mayberry recognizes just how fantastic and valuable an employee she is.

I’m extremely disappointed with Mayberry’s handling of the construction project impacting the easement between my property and my neighbor’s. It feels like they’ve completely disregarded the community. They only recently initiated the project with a permit, two years after a vague notification was sent. The construction itself has been chaotic and disrespectful – equipment has been placed on my lawn without any communication, blocking my driveway and the public road, and creating significant noise and disruption. Furthermore, the deep holes pose a serious safety hazard for children in the neighborhood, and there’s been no consideration for social distancing, which is particularly concerning given the ongoing pandemic. It’s clear that Mayberry doesn’t value the community they claim to be serving, and their actions demonstrate a lack of respect and arrogance. Honestly, I wouldn’t give them more than one star.

I have to be very honest – I wouldn’t recommend using this company. I’ve had serious concerns about the quality of their work. In fact, I’ve spoken with several neighbors in my Madison subdivision, and we’ve all experienced problems with our homes after they’ve done work. There were issues with the carpet, gutters, and even significant problems with the walls and drywall within just six months. I strongly advise you to do your research and check their reviews before proceeding – it’s really important to be cautious.

“I absolutely loved the whole process of buying my new home – Mayberry was fantastic! Kelly, Joe, and the entire team were all incredibly helpful and made everything so smooth.”
-
Honestly, it sounds like you went through a really frustrating experience. Finding our home was great, it’s a lovely place – truly feels like Mayberry! But we encountered a lot of issues stemming from the rushed and poorly executed construction. There was a significant amount of wasted money and a huge amount of frustration. We think it would have been better with a different builder.

“Steve, Mark, and the whole team were fantastic – so patient and really helpful. I’m really excited to be working with them as I build my new home!”
-
“I had a really negative experience with this company. They weren't helpful at all after the sale, and dealing with them was incredibly frustrating. The quality of their work was poor, and their customer service was frankly, non-existent. I strongly advise anyone considering working with them to be very cautious.”
-
“That field trip to the construction site was really insightful – I especially appreciated the way they explained the different framing techniques and how much thought went into the trim packages.”
