  Overall, I was incredibly pleased with the service we received. The fence installation was outstanding – truly a fantastic job! They were professional, friendly, and their prices were very reasonable. I’d definitely recommend asking for Mike when you need a quote; he was super helpful and responded to my questions quickly. report abuse

  Janet was extremely pleased with Steven and Ritter’s service. She found them to be incredibly friendly and professional, and noted that they were unfazed by her dogs’ barking – in fact, they even seemed to make friends with them! She’s definitely planning on having them back. report abuse

  Honestly, our experience with GMH was incredibly frustrating. The initial contact over the phone was already poor – the woman in the office was quite rude. When the gate fell off our new vinyl fence, she immediately started questioning who installed it, despite us explaining we hadn't owned the house long and there was no identifying information on the fence. Her response that they couldn't help if it was a “Home Depot Job” was completely unhelpful. We waited three days for a response, only to be told they couldn't fix it at all. It felt like they weren’t willing to actually address the problem. We definitely won’t be contacting GMH if we ever need to replace our fence. report abuse

  I’m extremely disappointed with my experience dealing with GMH Fencing Co. Frankly, I wouldn’t recommend them. The people in charge seem to operate with a complete disregard for safety and responsibility. On August 28, 2016, one of their trucks – a Ford F550 with Massachusetts plate L37 636 – caused a serious accident while driving on I-91 North. They were carrying gravel from an unsecured flatbed, showering rocks onto the highway and damaging the windshields of two following vehicles. Thankfully, all three drivers were able to pull over safely after exiting at Hadley. What was truly concerning was the company’s response. Instead of taking responsibility, the driver, Felix, offered a dismissive excuse about the manager handling it, but no one followed up. There were numerous unanswered calls and, when finally contacted, a representative refused to acknowledge the incident or take any accountability for the damage. It’s clear that this company operates unethically, and I believe the public should be aware of this situation. report abuse

  “I was really disappointed with this company’s approach. We requested a quote for extending our fencing, including moving a gate and adding a chain-link area for our dogs, and they initially seemed open to the project. However, after inspecting the property, they informed us they couldn't move the existing gate as it wasn’t their fence. Despite this, they still provided a quote for the new fencing and a new gating system. After waiting nearly a week for the quote, we were told it had been ‘lost’ and they’d redo it. Instead, we received an email essentially saying they couldn't help us because they don’t move other people’s fences. It felt incredibly unprofessional and frustrating, especially after clearly stating our only requirement was moving the gate. Thankfully, we were able to recognize this before committing to their services.” report abuse
