  “I’ve used Bickford’s plumbing twice now, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. I always know I can count on them! When I called about a leak in my condo closet – it was tricky because there were other units around and the pipes were hidden – Brian sent over Ray. Ray was absolutely fantastic; he didn’t give up until he pinpointed the exact source of the leak, even though it was a really complicated job behind a support beam. It’s clear they genuinely care about finding and fixing the problem completely. Bickford’s Plumbing really goes above and beyond – they’re truly professionals at their best.   Honestly, we wouldn’t recommend using this company. My mother hired them to install a water meter at her mobile home, and the contractor, Brian, took care of a couple of minor repairs around the property as well. However, he then billed her mother and the mobile home park owners directly for $90 – claiming the cost of replacing his work clothes after they got soiled. It just seemed incredibly unreasonable and exploitative. To charge that much for contaminated work clothes after crawling under a mobile home is completely out of line with what any professional contractor would do, especially when dealing with an elderly customer. It felt like a really bad situation, and we strongly advise thinking twice before choosing this company. report abuse

  Honestly, don’t be swayed by their website’s promises. They talk a good game about great service, but my experience was really disappointing. When I called, the woman who answered didn’t even acknowledge that I was calling Brian Bickford Heating – I had to ask what business they were. She quickly confirmed they did install heat pump hot water heaters, but immediately said they were completely backed up. It felt like they weren’t interested in taking on a sizable project, and frankly, they seemed to not care about potential future business. It’s a shame they’re so busy that they’d turn down a customer who was willing to invest a lot of money. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time calling them – you won’t get the level of service they advertise. report abuse

  “I recently contacted you guys after our water service completely stopped working again – it’s the third time in a week, and with three young kids, it’s incredibly frustrating. The initial woman I spoke with was incredibly unhelpful; she barely answered the phone and then immediately started yelling for someone named Brian. It felt really disorganized and unprofessional, and frankly, she didn't seem to understand I just needed a solution. I quickly moved on to another company because of the poor service.” report abuse

  Brian was fantastic – he immediately responded to our request for a quick plumbing fix in Waterville for a small job at our non-profit.
