  I had a really frustrating experience trying to get a quote and contract from Truedecks. After a month of constant communication – which took up a huge amount of my time – they still hadn't provided me with any kind of timeline for the project, let alone approved plans. They were demanding a significant upfront payment of 25% without even having a formal agreement or plans in place. To add insult to injury, when I asked to speak directly to the owner, he refused. I have a text message exchange with Fernando, a representative, where I specifically requested to talk to Jose, and it’s clear he was avoiding me. It felt like they were essentially saying, "Here's $40,000, we’ll decide if and when we build your deck." And then they blamed the delays on a missing performance bond, which wasn’t even the issue. It was completely unreasonable to ask for such a large upfront payment without any guarantees or plans being finalized. Frankly, it felt like a complete disregard for good business practices and a very dishonest approach. report abuse

  Overall, Deck Master absolutely nailed the look we were going for – a clean, modern deck with minimal upkeep. Pavel was fantastic as our project manager; he was incredibly professional and always quick to respond to our questions. We were really impressed with the reasonable and affordable quotes, and the quality of the workmanship was outstanding – it was genuinely better than what we’d seen from other companies. Yelka provided exceptional customer service, truly going above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The crew was incredibly meticulous, and I want to especially commend Carlos for the Trex railing installation; his attention to detail and willingness to incorporate our feedback resulted in a beautifully finished product. report abuse

  I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from TrueDecks, especially Jose and his team. I needed some repairs on my deck, and Jose took the time to really assess the damage and explain all my options clearly. He gave me a fair price and, best of all, managed to get the repairs done while I was away on vacation – and he even checked in with me to make sure I was happy with the work.   We’re so happy with our new deck – it turned out absolutely fantastic! From the initial estimate all the way through the build, the team at DeckMaster was incredibly responsive and helpful. David and Jose were really great during the estimate process, and we especially want to commend Gustavo and his partner for their meticulous work; they were so professional and really took the time to get everything done perfectly. It was such a relief not having to constantly check in to make sure things were being done correctly. We were particularly pleased that they were able to accommodate our request for a flush beam deck with a glulam beam at the edges – that allowed us to minimize the number of posts, and they nailed it exactly as we envisioned. And we absolutely love the look of the wood decking with the Trex aluminum rails! Just a note – the photo shows some wet spots from the recent snow, but that’s just the wood and doesn’t affect the quality of the work at all. report abuse

  “I’m a little unclear on the construction process here. They ordered a significant amount of extra materials – like sand, dirt, and stone – far beyond what was needed for the deck. While I understand businesses operate differently, they left all that extra material spread across my yard after the deck was finished. This completely altered the original slope of my landscaping, and I’m now facing a substantial extra cost of a few thousand dollars to get it corrected.” report abuse

  “I was so pleased with the work DeckMaster did on my deck – it was a really complex project, involving a full overhaul with a screened-in porch and a walkout level. Pavel was absolutely fantastic to work with; he really took charge of everything, from taking down the old deck to the final details. He was incredibly helpful, always kept us updated, and even offered some brilliant ideas for how to make the most of the space both practically and in terms of design. Honestly, Pavel’s dedication to making sure we were happy throughout the entire process was outstanding.
