The Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Fire Department is truly a vital part of our community – consistently one of the busiest and most active stations in Montgomery County. They have a fantastic team of both professional firefighters and dedicated volunteers, and they’re always involved in local events. Be sure to check out their open house – it’s a really fun event for the whole family!

It’s a really cool little museum – a great way to spend a Saturday! They have a fantastic collection of historical exhibits, displays, and even some old fire engines. It’s enjoyable for people of all ages, and they’re only open on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.

The annual October open house is a real hit with the kids – a fantastic event! Just a heads-up though, the fire truck rides are by lottery, so it’s best to arrive early to get your chance to win one.
