  “Overall, I’d give this place three stars. I took three courses here – one for my unarmored handgun and two for my concealed carry and armed security cards. I was initially unprepared to complete the armed card course, but I was still able to attend. However, after I finally obtained my armed security card, I tried to get clarification on my paperwork and payment options, but the owner hasn’t responded to my calls or texts since November. It’s frustrating that he hasn't been available and hasn't gotten back to me. Also, if you’re planning on getting both your concealed carry and armed security cards, I recommend doing them together – it’s a separate fee if you take them individually. It could have been a fantastic experience, but the lack of communication has left me feeling let down.” report abuse

  “Over the past year at SSI’s command center, I’ve really grown and thrived. Starting this role after the dispatch system revamp has been an incredible opportunity – I’ve gained so much knowledge and experience that I wouldn’t have gotten as a security officer. I’m incredibly grateful to John for taking a chance on me. I really appreciate the supportive environment here; my Captain, Ashley, is fantastic and creates a space where I feel comfortable speaking up. It’s a true ‘family’ atmosphere, and I’ve built strong relationships with my colleagues. I always try to pay it forward by offering the same level of support I’ve received. Personally, I want to acknowledge how understanding everyone has been. I’ve dealt with some health challenges, and I’ve never felt pressured or judged for needing to take time off or leave early – especially when difficult things happened, like when my uncle passed away, they immediately supported me. Overall, I’m so thankful for the opportunities and the way I’ve been treated here at SSI.   “I just completed the Armed Security Guard course here, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. John was an outstanding instructor – he was both incredibly personal and professional, really taking the time to connect with each student. He used a lot of helpful visual aids and kept the class engaging. The material was presented clearly and was easy to understand. The range time was a lot of fun, and John did a great job of ensuring everyone got the attention they needed. If you’re considering getting your unarmed or armed security guard license, I highly recommend this course – you won’t be disappointed!” report abuse

  “Honestly, the situation was quite chaotic – the parking was incredibly full, and it looked like they were taking up two spaces. Given that, it really made me question their level of professionalism and attention to detail, and I ultimately decided to seek out a different service.” report abuse

  “We’ve been incredibly concerned with the security services provided at the Sunnyslope Community Center. Specifically, the officer, Mr. Stocks, has been a serious problem. He’s been making false police reports, often days after incidents, and refuses to cooperate with anyone trying to address the situation or provide information about the guard on duty. What we really wanted was a more approachable and trustworthy security presence. Unfortunately, Mr. Stocks’ behavior has been aggressive and, frankly, dishonest, leading to false accusations and a deeply unsettling atmosphere. The most alarming incident involved an innocent man being wrongly detained – he was even held at gunpoint! We’re worried about our safety walking around the neighborhood and believe the company needs to take immediate action. It’s unacceptable that they’re refusing to discuss the issue or provide a name for us to report Mr. Stocks to the Phoenix Police Department, especially given that false police reports are a serious offense.” report abuse

  “I was extremely disappointed with the security presence at this park. The guards seemed completely out of touch, lacking both competence and professionalism. It felt like a serious oversight – the City of Phoenix should be prioritizing a security firm that actually understands and performs its duties effectively.” report abuse

  “Honestly, this job felt incredibly uncaring. The expectations were extremely demanding – I was waking up at 3:30 am to get to work on time, and when the bus was delayed, I was essentially blamed. It felt like they only cared about profit and didn’t value their employees’ situations. I’d give it a very low rating. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it, and I’m thankfully moving on to something much better.” report abuse
