  “We were so impressed with the service we received! We had a wiring issue caused by a flooring installation in our cabin and they were fantastic. Larry was quick to assess the problem, scheduled the repair for the very same day, and Larry and Bailey got it all fixed by 2 pm. They were really friendly, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing.   “I was so impressed with Hopkins Electric! I had a really urgent need – I needed a new electrical job done the same day to get my appliances installed, and they absolutely delivered. I called shortly after 7 AM, and they got a work order in and someone was there to take care of it before 9 AM.   Overall, I’ve been really pleased with Hopkins Electric. I’ve worked with them on several projects over the years, and I’ve consistently heard positive feedback from those I’ve recommended them to – they’re known for their quick response times, competitive pricing, and ability to get the job done right. While they might not always be the absolute cheapest option, you definitely get what you pay for; they’ve consistently delivered high-quality work in a reasonable timeframe, and I would absolutely recommend them. report abuse

  Overall, this was a frustrating experience. While I really appreciate how quickly the supervisor responded when I called, and how dedicated his team was to resolving the issue, I can only give them a 2-star rating. The initial problem – a leaking weather seal – was easily spotted, but it was unfortunately overlooked. It took three days and a brand new line installation to finally discover the underlying corrosion at the meter. I was billed for those three wasted days of labor, which could have been resolved in just an hour if the initial problem had been addressed properly. On top of that, the work caused damage to my sidewalk that needed replacing. I'm glad they eventually fixed the electrical issue, but the lack of quick diagnosis and the resulting wasted time and expense were significant drawbacks. report abuse

They kept us really well informed about everything, and they handled our electrical issue really efficiently and with a genuinely friendly attitude.   I was really frustrated with this experience. We were left without power after finishing some remodeling work and needed an electrician urgently. The company told us that paying for two electricians at $90 an hour would get the job done faster, but nobody explained that this would also include their travel time. Two electricians were only there for less than two hours, and it felt like they were constantly running back and forth, with one working on the wiring while the other checked in with him from the hallway. The final bill was $502 – completely unreasonable for such a short job. When I called to question the price, the guy on the phone was incredibly rude and argued with me, eventually reducing the bill to $400, which felt like they were billing me for five hours of work from a single electrician. To add insult to injury, they insisted I pay this immediately or the original $500 would be due. It felt like they exploited our urgency and charged us exorbitant fees, including an unbelievable amount for their drive time. Overall, it was a very disappointing and stressful experience. report abuse
