  Overall, this team did a really good job getting started and they clearly knew what they were doing when they tackled that large section of concrete in my yard. It was impressive to see them move so quickly. However, I was a little concerned at first, and after a few hours, I wasn't entirely convinced of their experience. But then, they really delivered – removing another slab the next morning and carefully carrying the pieces by hand instead of using a heavy machine. David explained that was a smart move to avoid creating ruts in my yard, and honestly, that thoughtfulness really impressed me. I’m really excited to see how they’ll work with stamped concrete, and I highly recommend them. report abuse

  “I had a really frustrating experience with this firm, starting when I contacted them through Angi. They promised a free estimate within a few days, and Paul was friendly when he came to look at my land. However, he didn’t actually take any measurements, which seemed odd. Weeks later, I received an email from David with a general estimate, but there was no explanation for the delay, and he didn’t apologize for it. It quickly became clear he hadn’t done his homework either – he was unaware of local regulations. I asked for a breakdown of the water and sewer costs, and it took a month to get a response, and still no apology. Then, out of the blue, Paul just appeared at my house taking measurements, even though he’d previously said the preferred access point was unavailable. I knew this wasn’t true, as I’d actually requested the town’s information on that access point. It felt like David might have been misleading him, and ultimately, I felt completely unsupported and dismissed. David continued to ignore my requests and failed to acknowledge any of the issues. He then simply told me they weren't interested in the project. Honestly, the whole interaction felt disrespectful, and I couldn't shake the feeling that there was a sexist element to his behavior. I would strongly advise anyone considering this firm to look elsewhere – their communication is completely disorganized, and the way they treated me was unacceptable.” report abuse

  Overall, Valley Excavating did a great job installing the French drain for us. They arrived on time, completed all the work outlined in our quote, and left the area spotless. The drain itself looks really well-built and we’re confident it will do the job of preventing erosion on our slope. We’d definitely recommend them to anyone needing excavation services. report abuse
