Based on my investigation, I have serious concerns about the recent property survey. It appears the surveyor created a property line that doesn’t match the Town’s official records. They used a survey pin they found off-site and didn't verify its origin or confirm it hadn't been moved. Crucially, they completely disregarded the six approved lot plans provided to them – these plans, drawn by engineers and approved by the Building Department, consistently showed the property line. The surveyor essentially redrew the line, and multiple contacts within the Building and Planning Departments confirmed this created a significant discrepancy, shifting the property line by approximately three feet and altering its angle to the street. It’s clear the surveyor should have utilized the established monument as the foundation for the survey, as identified by the Building Department. I requested the surveyor correct this issue, but my request was unfortunately denied. Ultimately, the Building Department has no ability to control the surveyor’s actions, leaving me with a property line that’s now significantly different from the approved plans.
