“I’ve been working with Ryan for over fifteen years, and I can honestly say he’s an incredibly valuable asset. He consistently delivers exceptional service, always meeting deadlines and handling projects – both commercial and residential – with a really comprehensive approach. What I particularly appreciate is his attention to detail; he doesn’t just focus on the structural engineering, but considers the entire building system. Ryan’s commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest materials and building codes is truly impressive, and I’m very proud to have him as part of my team.”

“We hired this firm six months ago to oversee the design and build of our home, and we’re incredibly disappointed with the experience. Ryan, our assigned draftsman in Charlevoix, significantly increased the original price and presented us with a contract that offered no protection if any structural problems arose. He completely failed to follow through – ignoring our calls, never visiting the build site, and failing to conduct necessary soil borings. As a result, the project was plagued by significant delays. We’ve since switched to Edgewater Design in Petoskey, who have a team of engineers and a much more professional approach.”
-
“I’ve worked with Johnston Engineering, specifically Ryan Johnston, as my structural engineer for over 15 years, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Ryan consistently delivers exceptional work and is incredibly reliable – he’s truly a top-tier engineer.”

Ryan is a fantastic structural engineer – I’ve had the pleasure of working with him on numerous projects and can confidently recommend his services. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and a genuinely easy person to collaborate with.
