  StudioMet architects listened to our needs for maximizing tree and park views and yet maintaining privacy. Our home is exactly what we wanted and more! The spaces for entertaining both indoors and outdoors are inviting and make use of all levels as our home is 8 feet higher than ground level. report abuse

  We had the best experience with Shawn at Studio Met. Their attention to detail is top notch. Our home is very near completion and every inch of our home exhibits a timeless look. Shawn guided us through every step of the design and made sure we always had our questions answered. If you want a modern clean design these are your people!!! Best money spent and sincere care for their clients. These are the designers/builders that keep the good reputation for doing right for their clients.   We came to StudioMET after being unhappy with a prior firm. We have been blown away by their creativity in design and the overall process. Working with Shawn has been a fabulous experience. His attention to detail and knowledge on designing and building beautiful homes is second to none. We’ve really enjoyed learning from him and knowing we are in great hands. Trust is incredibly important in this process, and we definitely have that with Shawn. We are a tough crowd sometimes, and he completely takes it in stride. We’ve also been fortunate to meet other members of their team while attending the AIA Houston modern home tours; they are all very talented. We can’t say enough great things about Shawn and StudioMET and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to design and build a home. report abuse

  Our experience with StudioMet's design process was great. Shawn and Steve were able to meet our individual needs wrapped in the aesthetic that makes StudioMet homes unique. A clear and concise design package, together with transparent bidding and scheduling, kept us well informed during construction. Now, 5 years after move in, we have engaged them to design a small guest house. Can't wait! report abuse

  We were very pleased with StudioMet during the whole process - from the designing stage all the way to the end. We did our research beforehand and visited the houses that were showcased in the Houston Architectural house tour and we loved what we saw. We had planned to build our home in the next 5-7 years but Harvey hit us which expedited our plan. We had the pleasure to work with Scott and his team, who were all very professional. It was really a partnership, working thru minor issues one would expect while building. The whole project went pretty smoothly considering it was post-Harvey when contractors and supplies were in great demand. Scott, Jesus and team made the experience the LEAST stressful as any house building can ever be. We had total confidence in them and they did not disappoint. This is our third house to build/rebuild so we have experience. We truly enjoyed working with them and highly recommend them. report abuse

  We worked with Stephen and the StudioMet architects a few years ago to build a home that we love today. Looking back, we were pretty clueless about design and construction plus we had little time or energy to micromanage a project. Fortunately, Stephen and his team provided patient and reliable guidance from conception of design to final walk through. We were very impressed that Stephen captured our style so brilliantly and implemented our wishes so effectively in his design. He made it effortless for us, something we never would have imagined given the horror stories that one hears about building a home. He even met up with us to help choose lighting fixtures! Today, we continue to receive compliments about our home from total strangers and we are very pleased with our decision to use Stephen and the talented StudioMet team. report abuse

  We had an extremely positive experience working with Shawn and his team at studioMET. They handled all aspects of our project (from initial design through completion of construction) and made the entire process as low-stress as possible--no small feat considering that construction took place during the height of the pandemic! Shawn did an amazing job of translating our input into a home that’s perfectly tailored to our family’s wants, needs, and style; we also love that it’s decidedly modern but fits seamlessly into our 1920’s neighborhood. And, despite significant volatility in labor and material markets, Shawn, Jesus, and the rest of the team worked hard to keep things on track during construction. This is an incredibly talented, professional, and hard-working group that delivers not only great design and builds (we’ve received numerous complements from other design and construction professionals), but also a top-notch client experience.   When my wife & I decided to design our new home, we visited 3 architects that are know for modern designs, and decided to go with Studio Met because every single design of theirs stood out compared to the rest. We had the pleasure of working with Yoon, and he helped us design our perfect home. He was patient, a great listener, and had some amazing ideas that we hadn't even thought about. Our children and us love our home, it is the perfect space for us, and we couldn't have possibly asked for anything better.
