“I had an absolutely terrible experience renting a lift from this company. The daily rate was exorbitant – I ended up paying over $700 for just an hour of use. To make matters worse, the lift they sent was the wrong one, and it hadn’t been properly inspected before delivery. I got stuck in the air for hours trying to get it to descend, wasting six hours of my time. I brought up my concerns, and even received a letter of thanks from the president after his team investigated, but I’m still getting the runaround months later. It was a complete rip-off, and I strongly advise against using them – shop local instead!” report abuse

“I was incredibly frustrated with my experience with Big Rentz. My equipment delivery was over 2.5 hours late, and despite multiple calls to get an update, I received no communication and was repeatedly ignored. Finally, after a four-hour wait, they admitted the original delivery company couldn’t fulfill the order, leaving me without the equipment I’d paid for and unable to complete my job. They then spent time trying to find a replacement, unsuccessfully, and I was forced to pay a significant premium to have another company bring in the equipment at the last minute. Honestly, if they’d acknowledged the problem immediately when I first called, I could have likely handled the situation myself and saved a lot of money. As for their compensation – a 10% discount on my next purchase – it felt completely inadequate considering the thousands of dollars in extra labor costs and the emergency delivery fee I had to pay. I’ve completely lost confidence in Big Rentz and will be advising my colleagues to avoid renting from them. It was a truly disappointing and costly experience.” report abuse

“Overall, this was a really frustrating experience. We chose this rental company primarily because of its location, but it turned out to be a terrible decision. We soon realized they were just a third-party company, and the equipment was coming from all over. We ended up needing the boom lift for longer than anticipated due to delays with our materials, and then we were hit with an unexpected charge for extending the rental—a charge we never received notification about. To add to the problem, when we reordered the lift, it arrived from another distant location, resulting in yet another unexpected fee. Now we’re stuck with two lifts on site, and it’s incredibly confusing with so many other contractors using equipment nearby. It felt like they weren’t communicating effectively – the sales person essentially blamed me for not contacting him about a second lift, despite the fact that someone else handled our order, and they didn’t even bother to inform us that a lift was already available. I'm incredibly disappointed with the lack of customer service; it felt like they were solely focused on meeting their sales targets rather than finding a solution for us. I’ve been trying to resolve this for a week now with no real progress—it’s completely unacceptable that they already had our money and didn’t offer any flexibility or support.” report abuse

“I’m incredibly frustrated with this experience. I ordered a boom lift for delivery between 9am and 11am on Monday, the 24th, and it never arrived. The company’s explanation, delivered via email, was completely unacceptable – they claimed to have left a voicemail about a long-term maintenance issue with the original unit and offered a replacement, but no one ever actually called me. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, I was told he was in a meeting and never contacted after. As a result, they still have my money and I’m seriously considering pursuing legal action. Adding to the problem, this disruption forced me to rent replacement equipment, significantly increasing my costs. Honestly, this is the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered – a truly disappointing and unprofessional situation.” report abuse

Overall, our experience with the lift service was pretty disappointing. We only needed it for one day, and thankfully they picked us up on the last day, so we were only charged for that single day. However, we’ve been trying to get a refund, and despite emailing twice, we haven’t received a response or seen any action on it. We’re now going to have to contact the bank to sort it out. report abuse

Overall, our experience with BigRentz was pretty frustrating. We’d used them before, and while one of the forklifts had a minor issue initially – thankfully the driver was able to get it running – this time things went significantly sideways. We’d made the reservation weeks in advance, clearly communicated the event’s post-event delivery requirements, and everything was approved, yet BigRentz called us in a panic just two days before, demanding an early delivery. They ended up charging us extra to accommodate this last-minute change, and the forklift actually arrived 30 minutes late anyway, leaving us scrambling to find a place to put it within our crowded event space. It was a really awkward situation that embarrassed our company, and honestly, the whole thing felt incredibly disorganized. Despite the issues, I want to give a special shout-out to Fil, who was always incredibly responsive and tried his best to help us out. However, considering the miscommunication and the added cost, it was definitely an experience that didn’t live up to our expectations. report abuse

I was incredibly disappointed with BigRentz. I chose them because their price was right for the large piece of equipment I needed, and the delivery process seemed straightforward – I confirmed the order with the salesperson and my crew was ready for the delivery. But the equipment never arrived! When I called to inquire, I was met with a really rude and condescending attitude, and frankly, it was unbelievable that they told me the delivery was scheduled for the next day when I had confirmation of the same day. I never even received the confirmation email until the following morning. As a service business, this delay caused a major problem for us. I can honestly say I don’t believe the positive reviews I’ve seen – I was treated with absolutely no respect. I chased after managers and left multiple voicemails, but nobody ever returned my calls. It was a complete waste of time. BigRentz is a company we’ll never use again; they set a terrible example. report abuse

“I’m incredibly impressed with this company’s rental process – it’s completely streamlined my project management and saved me a huge amount of time. They’re consistently friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my equipment arrives on-site before my team needs it. Because my projects are often out of state, being able to simply send a quick email and have everything handled is a massive relief.” report abuse

I was really disappointed with my recent experience. When I booked my machine, I specifically mentioned it needed to fit in a residential backyard, but after I paid, I was contacted to be told they didn’t have the size I’d ordered and had to deliver a much larger one – at an extra charge. I voiced my concerns about the size, but they assured me it would still work. The driver even confirmed it was too big, yet they left it anyway. I immediately contacted the company to prevent damage, but they wouldn’t pick it up until Monday due to the delivery time. To add to the frustration, they then told me the delivered size was the same as what I originally requested, and I still haven’t received a refund, despite being told a refund wouldn't be an issue a full month ago. report abuse

“I’ve been incredibly frustrated trying to rent a forklift for the past week. I’ve been repeatedly calling, but no one has responded, and today a manager suddenly raised the price by over 30% simply because it was a last-minute order – even though I’d been trying to arrange this for a week. Honestly, it feels like they’re intentionally overcharging customers, and I’m concerned about whether this is a standard practice.” report abuse
