“I’d strongly advise against working with this contractor. They’re not based in Wisconsin, and they’ve consistently used unreliable subcontractors, leading to incredibly long delays – in this case, a 30-day job stretched out for over two years with multiple different subcontractors and ultimately, an unfinished project. Frankly, their approach is unacceptable, and I wouldn't recommend them.”

Honestly, I’m extremely disappointed with Hasheem’s team. We hired them to create a simple partition in our large room, and it’s been a complete disaster. It’s been five months with no progress, despite repeated assurances that it would be finished “soon.” I’ve been passed off with vague promises, constantly pushed back, and now two other companies are waiting for the opportunity. To add to the frustration, getting anyone to actually address the issue has been nearly impossible – I’ve had difficulty reaching them, and one contact completely ignored my calls. This is unacceptable and needs to be resolved immediately.

“I had a really positive experience working with Workhorse. I was initially hesitant about hiring an external construction company and focused heavily on cost and reliability. However, Malico Watson was fantastic – he really reassured me, and our first project went incredibly smoothly and was completed on time. While timelines and costs can naturally shift with unforeseen circumstances, Workhorse handled everything professionally and I wholeheartedly recommend them. I truly enjoyed working with them and would definitely use their services again.”

I’m sharing my experience with this company because I felt it was important to warn other homeowners. Unfortunately, I had to move on to a different general contractor due to a really frustrating process. I wasn’t able to assess the quality of the work itself, but I wanted to highlight some serious issues. From the start, communication was a huge problem. I was promised an estimate, but it was delivered late with multiple delays, and then they demanded a 60% deposit within just four hours – a completely unreasonable timeframe. I also felt like I was bounced back and forth between the company and a subcontractor, never having a direct point of contact with a project manager. The entire process felt incredibly disorganized. For example, the walkthrough scheduled on October 8th was handled by an employee from the subcontractor’s company, who wasn’t familiar with my project at all. Then, despite promises of a quote by the end of the day or the following morning, I still didn’t receive one until 8:00 PM on October 13th – and it was the highest quote I received from three other reputable contractors. Frankly, it was a stressful and rushed experience, and I ultimately rejected the proposal.

Honestly, Workhorse General Contracting really impressed me. I’ve had a tough time with other contractors in the past – consistently late, over budget, and just generally unreliable. But Workhorse was completely different. They were incredibly accountable, kept me fully informed, and delivered on their promises. I’d definitely recommend them – you’ll be happy with the results!

Honestly, I was really disappointed with this company. They immediately demanded $425 just to send someone out and provide a quote, which is completely unreasonable since I won’t even take possession of the property until October. It’s bizarre that this wasn’t discussed during our phone conversation. I’ve never encountered a business that charges such a hefty fee simply for an initial visit, and I’ll definitely be going elsewhere. I’d advise others to steer clear.

“Kata has been absolutely invaluable to our team here in Milwaukee. We rely on her for all our big projects, and her responsiveness and support are truly a godsend – she’s always there when we need her.”
-
“I really appreciated working with this company – they consistently presented themselves in a professional manner, communicated clearly with the team, and delivered high-quality work.”

“It was a genuinely great experience working with [Sir’s Name]. He was incredibly helpful and ensured the project was completed promptly and efficiently – it was really easy to collaborate with him.”

“It appears there’s no sign of the business operating here.”
