  From start to finish, working with Built By Krueger was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our project manager, Warren Krueger, and his assistant, Maria, were incredibly helpful, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. We met with them every Friday to keep things on track, review our budget, and discuss any changes, and they were happy to meet with us more often as the build progressed – sometimes even three times a week! I was involved in the build almost daily, and Warren was always receptive to my concerns and quick to find solutions. He created a really comfortable and open environment, never making us feel pressured. While we didn't encounter any major problems thanks to Warren’s attention to detail, I was particularly impressed with his professionalism and the genuine connection we developed. The whole team – Matt, Ronnie, Jason, and Noah at Fox Valley Electrical, Daniel at 40th Parallel Structural Engineering, the steel fabrication team, Brian Pherson Masonry, Air Mechanical, our stucco contractor, Lago Rohloff, Nelson, and Cody – were all exceptional. It was clear they had a strong history with Built By Krueger, and each of them was truly skilled and dedicated. Built By Krueger was also incredibly resourceful. They navigated the supply chain issues we faced and made smart purchasing decisions to keep us on budget. They worked closely with our insurance adjuster to ensure we received fair compensation, which allowed us to complete the project on time and within our financial goals. Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with our new home, and we wholeheartedly recommend Built By Krueger to anyone looking to build a custom home. While they weren't the cheapest option, the quality of their work, combined with their commitment to our project, was truly outstanding. report abuse

  I can’t recommend Krueger Construction. We hired them to remodel our home, which was completed in spring 2021, and it’s been nothing but a disaster ever since. Shortly after finishing, our basement bedroom flooded due to a poorly constructed window well – it was too shallow. We lost all our son’s belongings, spent weeks dealing with water damage, and they only fixed the window well after the fact. Then, this spring, our architect discovered a massive problem – the framers had left a six-foot by three-foot hole in the wall leading into the roof, which had been leaking for two years. The resulting damage included a ruined ceiling, mold throughout the space, and countless delays as we worked with contractors and insurance companies. To add insult to injury, Krueger never offered an apology and refused to take responsibility for the damage they caused, let alone help us repair it. It’s clear they’re only interested in getting paid, and frankly, they’re completely unprofessional and unreliable. Seriously, avoid them at all costs. report abuse

  “We had a really difficult experience with Built by Krueger on our recent project, and we’re sharing our story to warn others. It was incredibly frustrating to see flooding occur twice – once from a poorly constructed window well and again on the roof, leading to significant interior damage and black mold. It’s clear there was a serious lack of oversight and management on the part of the contractor. What was particularly concerning was their complete unwillingness to take responsibility for the problems they created. While we understand mistakes can happen in construction, Krueger didn’t offer an apology, and we ended up spending a huge amount of time and effort fixing the issues ourselves. We’ve been in this community for 31 years and have done several remodel projects, but this was unlike anything we’ve encountered. It’s important to choose a contractor who carries valid insurance, and unfortunately, Krueger didn’t seem to prioritize that. We strongly recommend exploring other construction companies in the area – there are many reputable options available.” report abuse
