  I’m incredibly frustrated with Thompson Creek’s handling of my front door replacement. Years ago, I noticed water damage and discoloration around my door frame, and when Thompson Creek installed a new door, they continued despite my concerns about the weakened frame. Unfortunately, this resulted in warping of the door and storm door over time. Now, they’re trying to make me pay for a problem they should have addressed initially, and their warranty seems completely worthless. Adding to the ongoing issues, they recently sent installers back who repeated the same mistake – installing the door onto a poorly secured frame. My door is now so difficult to close, I have to force it, especially on rainy days. The storm door is also misaligned, with a gap between the new frame and the hinges. A third-party contractor even confirmed the damage and the fact that it had been developing over years. It’s clear they’ve been ignoring fundamental installation practices. The door has only gotten worse with time, and I’m now facing the daunting task of hiring someone else to replace the entire thing. Honestly, I can’t trust Thompson Creek to do any work on my property. I’ll be warning others about my experience, and I’ve already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.   Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Thompson Creek. From the start, their sales representative was incredibly helpful and professional, without any pushy sales tactics – we really appreciated that. The installation itself was smooth and efficient, thanks to Daniel and his assistant. And to top it all off, John took the time to check in on the job and make sure we were completely satisfied.   Dealing with Thompson Creek Window Company was a really frustrating experience – it ended up taking a huge amount of my time and money, and caused me a lot of stress. I initially signed a contract on January 25th to have a new entry door and screen door installed. What started as a straightforward job quickly turned into a major problem. The entry door was finally installed on April 25th, but it was immediately clear that the project manager hadn’t considered my gazebo, which was blocking the screen door. Despite agreeing to raise the gazebo, I was then stuck with a series of constant issues: no-shows, the wrong materials being delivered, shoddy workmanship, and a different subcontractor showing up each time. Each visit meant I had to take time off work, and I’d always be met with mistakes and delays. It was incredibly disruptive. To make matters worse, subcontractors would appear unexpectedly, install the wrong color, and leave gaps in my deck. They kept pushing the project back, and even after they took photos, they sent another subcontractor for unrelated warranty work instead of installing the screen door as originally scheduled. I eventually gave up trying to get through to them – I was even hung up on during a 40-minute call and received no response. I was left with a completely unfinished and damaged project, and frankly, no sense of accountability from Thompson Creek. I’ve had to escalate the situation by filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the MHIC. report abuse

  “I was so pleased with the recent window and door installation Thompson Creek did in my family room. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. They arrived right on time at 8:00 am and finished the job efficiently, wrapping up around 2:30 pm. The team was incredibly professional and went above and beyond, taking care of everything – removing the old windows and curtains too! The new windows and doors look fantastic and have really updated the room, and I feel much safer with the added security of the sturdy locks on the sliding doors. I’m really happy with the quality of the work and the products themselves, and I’d definitely recommend Thompson Creek to anyone considering an upgrade.” report abuse

Colin Kelly was really helpful today, measuring for the new gutters and downspouts – I was particularly impressed with the quality of their construction.
