  I’m really disappointed with my experience with Hawkins. I contacted them back in December to get my ceiling fan light fixed – it was working fine, but the light wasn’t. They charged me $280 for this, and essentially just told me the light kit needed replacing. They didn't actually fix anything, and I’ll be honest, I won’t be using their services again. report abuse

  “I’ve been really impressed with Hawkins Electric. They tackled a couple of projects for me – installing hardwired smoke alarms and an outdoor outlet – and they were fantastic. They clearly knew a lot about working with older DC wiring, and the work was done quickly, professionally, and at a fair price. The guys were also really friendly and easy to get along with.   “I can’t recommend Hawkins Electric highly enough. They’ve consistently impressed me with their professionalism and quality of work. I regularly refer them to my clients in the industry – I only want to work with electricians who make me look good, and they absolutely deliver. I’ve even used them on my own projects and for some recent home improvements, including installing drop lights with my wife, and she was incredibly impressed with how neat and tidy they were.   Maurice was fantastic – really personable and clearly very knowledgeable about electrical work. He’s done some work for me twice now, and the second time was a bit trickier with a vintage fixture from the 1940s. He went above and beyond, spending time tracking down a compatible part and then figuring out a really clever way to ensure it was securely installed. I really appreciate his effort! report abuse
