“I was extremely disappointed with this company’s work. They left a significant amount of loose nails and screws scattered around the property, and I ended up spending a lot of time cleaning up after them. It wasn’t just a few pieces – I had to pick up multiple boxes, and even had to dig through the snow to get to more. There’s still a section of the building where the nails and debris are frozen in, and to add to the problem, one of the anchor plates was missing its bolt. Honestly, the level of oversight was unacceptable, and I wouldn’t hire them again.”

“We were so pleased with this company! They really took the time to understand our needs and helped us design our pole building with a shop. They provided a clear and accurate quote, and we stuck with it. They were incredibly professional and a pleasure to work with. We’ve had the building for a few years now, and it’s still going strong with absolutely no problems – we highly recommend them!”

Overall, the construction is progressing well, and the team has been great to work with so far. They’re doing a solid job, though it’s pretty standard for builders like Lester, Morton, Northland, and Grizzly to leave some nails and scrap on the ground – I wouldn’t expect anything different. I’ve had no issues with Lester or Grizzly specifically, and the pricing with Morton seems reasonable. I’ll update you again once the project is finished.

Overall, I was really disappointed with this purchase. The building itself is well-constructed, which is the only positive thing I can say. However, the entire experience was plagued by issues. The contract was incredibly difficult to understand, seeming designed to protect them from any problems. Furthermore, the crew left the jobsite a complete mess – nails, scrap metal, and wood were scattered everywhere, and it wasn't cleaned up properly. It’s concerning that they didn’t follow my stake locations either; I specifically requested a 90-degree angle from my house, but they completely missed it. As a result, the building is noticeably crooked and looks quite unprofessional. Northland seemed to deflect blame onto me, which is unacceptable – any reputable contractor would have caught this oversight. Frankly, there are far better pole barn builders out there who would prioritize accuracy and customer satisfaction.

“Northland really exceeded our expectations – they were fantastic to work with. Mike, our salesman, was incredibly helpful and approachable, and Steve, the project coordinator, kept us fully in the loop throughout the entire process. The construction team was also top-notch; they were efficient, clearly knew what they were doing, and always willing to assist. We couldn’t have asked for a smoother or more successful experience.”
-
Overall, my experience with Northland was really disappointing. They seemed solely focused on the project’s cost, and the entire process took an unreasonably long time due to them overbooking jobs. I ended up having to pay extra to have the front of the building and beams repaired quickly, but when they returned, they disassembled everything and, unfortunately, damaged my beams in the process. I was extremely unhappy with the outcome.

I’m incredibly disappointed with this company. They’ve taken our full payment upfront, but haven’t actually started any work on the building. We’ve been waiting for two weeks, and despite numerous promises, the construction crew hasn’t even arrived, especially with the weather we’ve had – three rainstorms! It’s clear they have no intention of fulfilling their obligations.

Northland Buildings did a fantastic job building our pole shed – the contractor was truly meticulous and the finished product looks absolutely great. I highly recommend them!
-
Mike was really helpful – he came out to the site, answered all my questions, and I felt completely reassured about the quality of their work, given how many buildings they’ve already built. My only concern now is getting everything finalized so I can secure a building slot with them, as they’re getting pretty busy!
-
“Overall, I’m pleased with the deal I got on the building – I purchased it for $35,000, and my friend secured a similar one for $45,000. I appreciate the $50 referral bonus they offered. I also successfully referred someone to buy a generator for $9,000, earning me a $500 referral. My only suggestion would be for them to increase the referral commission rates; I’ve had several people inquire about the building, and I feel a higher commission would be more rewarding.”
