  “We absolutely loved working with Acton Refrigeration! We recently had them install central air in our older home, which also required new ductwork since we were still using hot water baseboard heating. We got quotes from several companies, and Acton’s proposal was priced competitively, but what really set them apart was their recommendation for a 2-stage condenser. The others only offered single-stage models, making Acton’s offer significantly better value. Beyond that, the quality of their work was outstanding. They used large, insulated ductwork, which has completely eliminated any hot spots and keeps our first floor perfectly cool, even during this incredibly hot summer. The installation itself was incredibly smooth – it only took four days, they were always on time and incredibly clean, which was a huge relief considering all the ceiling work involved. Honestly, they were the cleanest contractors we’ve ever had in our home! The new system is fantastic; it cools our house quickly and the 2-stage condenser really makes a difference, allowing us to fully dehumidify the space – something that's been a game-changer in this weather. While we weren’t primarily looking to save money, our electricity bill has dropped by 66% compared to using window air conditioners.   “I’ve been incredibly impressed with Acton Refrigeration – honestly, it’s the best HVAC maintenance company I’ve worked with in my 20 years living in Groton, MA. What really stands out is their team’s technical knowledge; they clearly know their stuff and took the time to explain the issues with my heating and air conditioning units, offering helpful advice on maintenance without pushing expensive contracts (which would have been tough with my dual systems). Their technicians are fantastic – they’re not just fixing problems, they’re educating you about them. And thankfully, I only had one minor issue where a replacement starter was needed, but they quickly diagnosed the problem and got it resolved. Beyond that, every service has been smooth and fairly priced, and the scheduling and billing person is incredibly reliable. I’m a pretty demanding customer – I’ve even been known to misplace my unit doors! – but Acton Refrigeration has consistently provided excellent service.   I was incredibly impressed with Acton Refrigeration. From start to finish, the team was fantastic – really knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive. My Magic Pak system was starting to struggle towards the end of last summer, and as these systems aren’t easily repaired on-site, replacing the whole unit was looking like a major expense and hassle. However, after a good discussion with them, they were able to suggest replacing just the cooling chassis, which was a fraction of the cost. The whole process was surprisingly quick, only taking about a month from my initial call. Rick and Nick did a brilliant job yesterday – they arrived on time, were incredibly courteous and professional, and the repair itself took less than three hours. They even left the work area spotless! I couldn’t be happier with the results and would absolutely recommend Acton Refrigeration without any reservations. report abuse

  “I had a refrigerator repaired by this company about a month ago, and unfortunately, it started having problems shortly after. I contacted them to report the issue, and after they looked at it, they said it would cost around $500 to fix. I explained to them that the previous repair – replacing the compressor – had actually caused the problem, but they wouldn’t acknowledge their mistake. They insisted on charging me $400, and even worse, they only offered a 30-day warranty on the repair. Honestly, I’d really advise caution when considering using this company.” report abuse
