“I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience using LA Solar to install my Enphase system. From the very beginning, communication was a huge problem – they struggled to keep me informed and even seemed to have trouble coordinating amongst themselves when it came to resolving issues. The installation process itself was significantly delayed due to permit waits and time off, and after it was finally completed, we faced a constant barrage of follow-up visits to address problems with the Enphase hardware. The system was down for nearly a month, and even now, it’s not functioning as expected. The battery isn’t backing up the correct appliances, and it’s not powering certain loads as promised. Despite numerous requests for them to fix these issues, they haven’t been responsive. Honestly, I’ve had to file a complaint with the state contractor board due to this frustrating experience, and I wouldn't recommend either LA Solar or Enphase hardware to anyone.”

“I had LA Solar install my solar system back in September 2019, and the whole process went incredibly smoothly – I experienced no problems at all. However, in November 2024, six of my twelve panels stopped producing electricity. I reached out to Enphase, who, along with LA Solar, had provided the microinverters and solar app. They determined a surge had caused the inverters to fail. LA Solar responded quickly and sent a technician to inspect the panels and forward photos to Enphase. Eventually, Enphase processed a warranty claim and shipped out replacement inverters. It took about two weeks, which I was pleasantly surprised by, considering I’d read about other companies experiencing much longer delays. While the initial installation of the new inverters wasn’t perfect – one bracket was missing, and the mounting wasn’t quite right – LA Solar addressed the issue promptly the next day. Now, all twelve of my panels are working perfectly. Overall, I’m really grateful for LA Solar’s efficient response and resolution of this problem.”

“I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with LASolar. I had a solar system installed by Barnes Solar back in 2021, and for the last six months, my SCE bills have been steadily increasing. It took months of frustrating back-and-forth with LASolar to finally discover that the inverter wasn’t functioning correctly, and no power was being generated. Initially, LASolar struggled to confirm my account history, and it took multiple calls and texts to get a response. Ultimately, they admitted the issue was with the inverter and ordered replacement parts, but the process was incredibly slow and unresponsive – delaying for weeks before they acknowledged the problem. Then, they claimed they hadn’t taken over the warranties from Barnes Solar and wouldn't send a technician to service my system. It was a completely unacceptable experience.”

“I cannot recommend LA Solar. Our experience with them over the last two years has been absolutely disastrous. From the moment they installed our solar panels, we’ve been battling to get them to take responsibility for the significant damage they caused. Initially, they broke 70% of our roof tiles during the installation and then immediately tried to blame us for subsequent leaks. After a huge amount of frustration – over 30 calls, countless voicemails, and being repeatedly hung up on – they finally agreed to re-tile the roof, but in the process, they damaged it even further. We ended up spending thousands of dollars to repair our home back to its original condition, and LA Solar offered absolutely no compensation. Despite ongoing leaks in the same area – discovered a year after their ‘repair’ – they continue to deflect blame and refuse to help. They’ve sent an inspector instead of a roofer, and haven’t provided contact information for the contractor who supposedly fixed our roof. Now, we’re dealing with water damage in our walls and under our floors, and LA Solar is still insisting it’s not their fault, blaming heavy rainfall. It’s been a complete nightmare, costing us time, money, and a huge amount of stress. Frankly, they’ve treated us terribly, and we’re now considering legal action to recoup our losses. If you get a quote from LA Solar, add at least 30% extra to cover potential damage and wasted time – you’ll need it.”

“We’ve been really happy with LA Solar Company. We’ve had our solar system installed for about two years now, and they did a fantastic job – it’s very tidy and effective, and they were really respectful, not pushy about selling us anything we didn’t need. We’ve actually recommended them to some friends!”
-
“Overall, the process went really smoothly and we saw a noticeable difference in our monthly bill almost immediately – which was fantastic. We’re so pleased we were able to switch to solar and contribute to a more sustainable future.”
-
“I was really impressed with this company. From the very first contact, they were incredibly professional and easy to work with – no pushy sales tactics at all. They were also very knowledgeable about their work, and the installation itself was top-notch with fantastic, clean workmanship. I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone.”
-
“I had a really awful experience with this company. I contacted them to get a solar panel installed, and unfortunately, the representative I spoke with was incredibly rude and didn’t seem to care about my needs. I’m so glad I decided not to go with them.”
-
“They provided a really solid initial estimate – it was great to get a general idea of what a solar system could look like for our home.”
