A friend recommended them, and Jacob was fantastic – he arrived within an hour after I called, quickly diagnosed the problem in my three-family building in Fitchburg, and offered me several solutions.   “I contacted them after hours about a hot water problem, and they were really responsive – they scheduled an appointment for the very next morning. When the plumbers, RJ and Jeremiah, arrived, they were quick and efficient, quickly pinpointed the issue. They didn’t just address the original problem; they also identified a previous, poor repair and completely fixed it, adding a new shut-off and drain valve along with replacing the expansion tank, temperature relief valve, and pressure regulator. The whole job took about four hours with two plumbers, and RJ and Jeremiah were both incredibly friendly and explained everything they were doing. I’m so relieved everything is working perfectly now, and the final bill came to $1600.” report abuse

  I would strongly advise against using this plumber. I was quoted an outrageous $1,650 for a very simple gas meter repair – essentially just a Teflon tape and a tightening. When I refused, the owner immediately dropped the price to $999. Another plumber I contacted thought $500 was the absolute most they’d charge for something like that, and he completed the job for $325. It’s clear they’re trying to overcharge, and I’d recommend finding a different plumber to avoid being ripped off. Their pricing practices are really quite unprofessional. report abuse

  Epoch Plumbing did a really great job for us. They were super responsive and arrived on time. They took the time to explain three different options and provided really detailed quotes for fixing our main drain line. Once they got the backup cleared, they also gave us clear instructions on how to avoid problems in the future – I’d definitely recommend them for scoping and rooter services. report abuse

  “As an elderly widow, finding a reliable tradesman is always a bit stressful – you worry about getting fair prices and making sure the job is done properly. However, I was absolutely delighted with the work Jacob and his assistant did for me at EPOCH Plumbing. They were incredibly professional and courteous, and the quality of their work was fantastic. Jacob really took the time to explain the issue with my sewer gas problem and showed me detailed pictures on his tablet, which was a huge help given my mobility.   Jacob was fantastic – he really went above and beyond! From the initial call to when he finished the job, he was so friendly and professional. I had a really stressful situation with a leaking shower and was completely lost about what needed to be done and how much it would cost. I also realized I didn’t know how to turn off the water! Jacob was incredibly patient and understanding, answering all my questions without making me feel silly. He quickly assessed the problem, assured me it would be fixed that day, and even gave me clear pricing options upfront. I especially appreciated his warranty and willingness to explain everything so thoroughly. It’s refreshing to work with a plumber who truly takes the time to educate you.
