  Peninsula Solar’s work on my solar array, installed in 2018, was a consistently frustrating experience. Getting the system operational took nearly a year, plagued by unexplained delays, and even after completion, I wanted to relocate the inverter and install backup batteries. Despite notifying Peninsula Solar about the finished underground room in October 2021, and being ready to proceed, we faced ongoing inaction. It wasn’t until March 2022 when Colin, initially billed as the electrician, finally visited, and we had to wade through snow to assess the setup. I later learned Colin is just an apprentice. Further complications arose when I sought guidance on the buried conduit and wiring, and Ben Schimke and Adrian (the actual electrician) finally met with me in November 2022, only to tell me the initial inverter location was unsuitable and that significant additional work would be required. Given the challenging conditions and the time delay, I decided to postpone the project until better weather. To add to the issue, my deposit hasn’t been refunded despite repeated requests, and scheduling assistance for connecting my backup generator remains outstanding. It’s clear that with Peninsula Solar, even on a substantial project, you’ll be bounced around with minimal explanation, and your requests for clarification are frequently ignored. report abuse

It’s great to see a company that prioritized safety, especially given the early stages of the COVID pandemic – their adherence to health protocols was fantastic. The team was consistently professional, communicated clearly about their work schedule, and always answered my questions thoroughly. While there were a couple of minor issues during the installation, they were addressed quickly and efficiently. They’ve also continued to provide excellent support since then.   “I was really struggling with the cost of electricity, so I got quotes from a few solar companies. From the very start, I was struck by how responsive and thorough they were. They sent really detailed proposals, and when they actually came to do the work, it was clear they were professionals – they had top-of-the-line equipment, skilled engineers, and experienced electricians.
