They were truly exceptional – responsive, proactive, and always found a solution whenever we encountered a challenge during the build. Ben Garcia, in particular, was a lifesaver; he became our go-to person and consistently provided the right answers and support. Despite the project taking a little longer than anticipated, the whole team’s reassurance and dedication made everything feel smooth and positive.   “We hired Guzman Construction to build our first home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our friend recommended them, and from the start, we were completely new to the whole process, feeling a bit overwhelmed. Ben James, who was our salesperson at the time, was absolutely fantastic – so patient and helpful, he really walked us through everything. When we had a minor disagreement later on, Victor, the company president, stepped in and quickly resolved it. Michael, our project manager, was also incredible, especially with me! I tend to get really detailed and involved, and he was always so understanding and supportive. We’re so pleased with the beautiful house they built for us, but even more so knowing that Guzman Construction isn’t just a builder; they’re a partner who we can rely on for anything we need moving forward.” report abuse

They really pressured me to sign the contract, and once I did, a lot of the extras they’d initially included suddenly became charged as separate fees. I never signed any additional paperwork. Now, I’m struggling to get my deposit back, and their representatives, particularly Matthew, seem solely focused on earning commission, which led to misleading statements. Ultimately, I saved approximately $25,000 by choosing a different contractor despite using the same blueprints.   I would strongly advise against using this company to build your home. The communication was consistently poor, and I felt completely taken advantage of throughout the entire process. Specifically, they were incredibly slow to provide me with the keys to my own property, taking a full month despite the bank confirming ownership. Given their location in the desirable McAllen area, I’m concerned they might try to exploit situations and delay things to gain an unfair advantage. Be extremely cautious – I worry about other families who may have experienced similar tactics. report abuse

  I’m incredibly frustrated and honestly, quite stressed out by the construction happening next door. The workers have been consistently disrespectful and completely disregard the surrounding area. It’s been a nightmare – they’ve been playing loud music very early in the morning, leaving piles of trash and debris, and even used my electricity and water without my permission. They’ve parked on my property, blocked my driveway, and, worst of all, they’ve been harassing my dogs, preventing them from enjoying our yard. The constant mess and their behavior are making my property feel unsafe and dirty, and it's creating a lot of anxiety for me. I’ve contacted the HOA about the situation, but unfortunately, nothing has been done to address it. I just wish they would be more considerate of my property and neighborhood. report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with the service I received. I contacted this company three times to address damage to my fence caused by their workers, and despite the relatively small cost of the repairs – around $7 – they haven’t followed up once. To add to this, they accidentally cut my underground cable line and simply attempted to tape it back together without informing me. It’s clear they don't value your property or the potential damage their work could cause, especially if they’re building nearby. I would strongly advise against having them work near your home. report abuse

  Ben Garcia and Guzman Construction truly went above and beyond to help us build our dream home. Everyone was so incredibly polite and helpful, and they really listened to our needs and desires to ensure we were happy with the final result. I wholeheartedly recommend them! report abuse
