“We were really pleased with Solar Flair – the whole process of getting our solar system installed was incredibly smooth and straightforward. They were fantastic at answering all our questions and addressing our concerns, and we particularly appreciated that they’re a local Massachusetts company. Everyone we dealt with was so helpful, and we wholeheartedly recommend them.”

Honestly, I’d give them no stars at all. We had these solar panels installed just under nine years ago, and we noticed a significant drop in output back in August, which we reported to them. They sent someone out in November to disconnect the system completely, but they didn't give us any explanation for why they were doing it. It took months of persistent questioning to finally find out that we had critter damage and needed extensive repairs. Even then, they didn’t provide us with a timeline for the work, and worse, they haven’t offered any protection against the same problem happening again.

Overall, I had a really positive experience with SolarFlair. I initially got a lot of quotes, mostly from smaller companies, but SolarFlair stood out immediately. What really impressed me was their extensive experience – they’d worked with Solarize Mass, which gave me a huge sense of confidence. Michael Murphy, the sales guy I worked with, was fantastic. He didn’t just hand me a brochure and read from it; he actually knew his stuff and answered all my questions thoroughly. I really appreciated that. Rachel, the project coordinator, was also amazing. She kept me completely in the loop, even after I’d made my final payment, and she was really proactive about getting everything set up with the SMART deposits. They were transparent about the timeline, though there was a slight delay with Eversource getting the net meter installed – but I understand they’re working on improving their scheduling transparency. I wholeheartedly recommend SolarFlair – they’re a professional, knowledgeable, and easy-to-work-with team.

Overall, we’ve been really pleased with our solar installation. However, we’ve found the customer service to be a bit slow – it took longer than expected for a dead panel to be fixed.

I’m incredibly disappointed with SolarFlair. For the past two months, I’ve been completely ignored when I’ve tried to get them to fix the broken panels and wiring they agreed to repair. Because of their lack of response and failure to deliver on their promises, I’m now filing a formal complaint under M.G.L. CHAPTER 142A & 201 CMR 18. I believe they’ve abandoned their contract and I’m taking this seriously. I’m also planning to share this complaint with the City of Somerville, hoping to prevent other communities from working with SolarFlair due to their unacceptable service. It’s truly disheartening to have gone from a happy customer to feeling so let down.

“I really appreciated working with this solar installation company. They’ve done two separate systems for us, and they were completely upfront about everything. Unlike some companies, they didn’t try to steer us toward a lease agreement – they presented all the options, including buying outright or securing a loan, and carefully walked us through the long-term financial benefits of each. The only thing I’d say is that they’re currently quite busy, so there might be a slight wait before they can schedule an initial consultation. Honestly, though, it's worth talking to them before making any decisions about solar – you'll be glad you did.”

I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience here. From the very beginning, the organization was a complete mess, filled with broken promises and terrible communication. It felt like a constant cycle of new people with no understanding of the project, and frankly, the level of incompetence was unacceptable. We took the precaution of using credit card payments to protect ourselves, and I strongly advise anyone considering working with this company to do the same. We were initially told the installation would be completed in October, with a possible delay to mid-November, and it’s now January – a massive and frustrating delay. I cannot recommend working with this company under any circumstances.
