“I was really impressed with the new owner – they did a fantastic job getting me a pipe fitting for my mom’s house, and everything was handled so quickly and professionally. Their work is top-notch!”

I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience working with Morris Construction. I hired them back in March of 2023 for a remodel, and it’s now two years later, and I’m still without a finished home. The biggest issue is that the original work, overseen by Bob, lacked proper approvals for essential aspects like electrical, plumbing, and framing. This has cost me over $90,000, and my property remains unfinished and, frankly, doesn’t meet any city code standards. Despite his promises, Bob has repeatedly failed to deliver, constantly blaming others for the delays. As an 66-year-old retiree who invested heavily in this project, I’m left feeling completely let down and misled. I strongly advise everyone to avoid Morris Construction – it’s simply not worth the risk.

“Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend Morris General. We’ve been working with them for over five months now, and they’ve consistently fallen behind schedule, constantly offering excuses about delays with the church’s sub-projects. The subcontractors are also reporting unpaid invoices – it’s been a complete mess. Don’t let his friendly demeanor mislead you; they simply didn’t provide us with adequate service.”

Bob presented himself as a genuinely pleasant person, but unfortunately, his performance on this project was completely unacceptable. Despite numerous attempts to address the issues – including concerns raised by code enforcement, the fire marshal, and the homeowner association – he consistently refused to comply with requirements. Ultimately, he took nearly $90,000 for work that has never resulted in a certificate of occupancy, and after two years, the project remains unfinished and the quality of the work is severely lacking. He repeatedly used subcontractors who quickly left, and despite serious concerns, he showed no willingness to rectify the situation through legal means or contract enforcement. I would certainly reconsider this review if he were to actually complete the work he was hired to do.

“I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you to the whole team at Morris General – we’ve really valued working with you all over the last three years. It’s been fantastic to collaborate, and we really appreciate your support. Great photo!”

“I was in a really stressful situation with a significant leak in my wall that had caused water damage and mold, and honestly, I didn’t know where to turn. Bob was a lifesaver! He came through when no one else would. He quickly addressed the leak, and then expertly handled the extensive water and mold damage, keeping me fully informed every step of the way, even when unexpected challenges like the COVID-19 material shortages popped up. Despite the added complexity, Bob got the job done to my complete satisfaction, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I wholeheartedly recommend Morris General!”

“I can’t recommend this business highly enough! My fiancé and I recently had a complete kitchen remodel done, and they did an absolutely fantastic job. We were so impressed with their service.”
-
“I was really impressed with the new owner – they were incredibly professional throughout the whole process. The remodeling work was completed quickly and efficiently, and I’ll absolutely be using their services again.”
-
“I honestly can’t recommend this company. My experience in Memphis was extremely disappointing – the quality of their work was terrible. Seriously, I’d advise everyone to avoid them and save their money.”

This is absolutely fantastic! Seriously, if I could give it six stars, I would.
