“I hired Howard’s for a driveway project and initially things seemed good – I paid a deposit back in May with a timeline of late July or early August. However, it’s now August 18th and I’ve been unable to get any response to my calls. It seems they’re experiencing a backlog due to high demand, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of communication. My relatives have had similar issues. While the quality of their work looks promising, it's really important for them to return calls promptly and keep clients updated on the progress. My rating will likely change if I receive a call back and a clear update on the project timeline.”

Honestly, I’m really frustrated with the recent road work. They repaved about three blocks, but it’s still unfinished, and it’s caused a huge problem for me. They put in a six to eight inch curb at the end of my driveway, and my car’s been stuck there ever since. It’s a simple fix, but they haven’t responded to any of my calls or messages. I’m hoping legal action is the next step. I’m confident I can do a much better job running things, and I’m eager to get things back on track.

“Overall, we were really pleased with the work – they’re a solid crew who get things done. They tackled the two driveways efficiently, and we particularly appreciated that they took care of a large pothole on the street without us even having to ask. It’s great to find a team that’s proactive like that. We’re really happy with the improvements we’ve seen!”

“I was really impressed with Howard’s work on the Mid-State Auto Auction lot. They did a fantastic job getting the 15-acre property fixed up quickly and efficiently. They also took care of cleaning up all the leftover mess from removing the old asphalt – really thorough! It was a pleasure working with them; they were easy to communicate with and did a great job overall.”

Honestly, we had a really bad experience with Howard’s Driveway. We had them do our driveway back in 2012 for $5,500, and they told us they used government-spec asphalt and did work for the state and county – which turned out to be completely false. A year later, the driveway was already riddled with cracks. When we contacted them, they just shrugged it off and said it was “luck of the draw.” Then, we got another contractor to take a look, and he immediately recognized it as a Howard’s Driveway job because of the way the asphalt was applied – he said it was clear gravel hadn’t been used. It’s clear they weren’t using the quality materials they claimed, and we definitely wouldn't recommend them. It seems like a deceptive advertising situation, and we think you’d be better off going with a different asphalt contractor.
-
“We had a quote appointment with them, but unfortunately they missed our appointment due to the snowstorm. However, we were really pleased with how we were treated and that they took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly.”

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend using this company. With my 25+ years of experience as a commercial construction contractor, I simply wouldn't feel comfortable trusting them with even a basic project like a mailbox post or driveway.
